Title: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 01, 2014, 09:26:15 PM Well my mpps cable showed up and I was able to successfully read the ecu. I would like to code out the rear o2 sensors and maybe if I'm lucky give it some of the power the s4 has ( wishful thinking)
I've read there is no real definition file for these? Where can I look to start with rear o2 delete? Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? Post by: ddillenger on August 01, 2014, 09:45:38 PM You are going to have to hope and pray someone is feeling charitable I'm afraid. Those files are very different then what 90 percent of us work with. Post it, I will help if I can.
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? Post by: mounty on August 02, 2014, 12:02:23 AM Ok. I'll post up when I get off work.
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? Post by: mounty on August 02, 2014, 08:10:11 AM here is what i pulled from the allroad with the knock off mpps cable.
i was able to read the file using windows generic editor. my winols is currently messed up somehow. everywhere where text is supposed to be in the file is just black. cant select maps. cant view code or anything. not looking for a freebie. looking to learn locations and what not so i can do it myself. hopefully we can come up with something for the general public to use here. though im sure not many allroads with a 4.2 here. Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: ddillenger on August 04, 2014, 01:37:11 AM Yes, the 560A (04 S4 manual) is very, very close.
What are you trying to do? Run catless, or completely remove the rear o2 sensors? Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 04, 2014, 04:46:21 AM Both for now.
Is it possible to use the s4 tune to get a bit more power out of it? I know the bas doesn't have the forged internals like the s4 does. Not sure what else is different though. Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: nyet on August 04, 2014, 10:52:24 AM Honestly, tuning the 4.2 is a waste of time unless it has turbos :)
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 04, 2014, 07:33:41 PM Not like I'm asking for 500 horsepower. It's just a daily anyways.
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: ddillenger on August 04, 2014, 09:23:13 PM Your file is an interesting one. I'm working on it anyway for a manual conversion setup. I don't have enough to REMOVE the rear o2's, but cat shouldn't be an issue.
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 04, 2014, 10:49:44 PM What's so interesting about it daz?
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: ddillenger on August 04, 2014, 11:36:37 PM What's so interesting about it daz? That it is very similar to the S4 file in every respect (addresses, calibration, etc). Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 05, 2014, 02:10:36 AM Interesting. I thought they were only similar?
Do I need to open up the ecu or get you numbers off it? Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 08, 2014, 03:28:38 AM So if they are identical. . Then would this work as a definition file?
Think I attached the right file.. Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: ddillenger on August 08, 2014, 05:56:47 AM You can use that for CDKAT, yes. The rest, not so much. It's very similar, but not necessarily in the same places.
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 08, 2014, 06:12:42 AM Is there another definition file floating around that you have or is it just kinda a look and find it on your own thing ?
Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: ddillenger on August 08, 2014, 07:25:21 AM I just make my own. Airtite made that one himself as well. Nothing publicly available for the B6 platform.

Title: Re: help with 4.2 allroad? ** bump. tune added ** Post by: mounty on August 09, 2014, 06:31:03 AM Ok. Need to get my new laptop up and running. Nefmoto stopped opening last night. Starting new with different laptop. Hoping that will cure my winols issue too.
