Title: System not okay with new cluster
Post by: saschwatch on August 07, 2014, 03:27:22 AM
I've followed all the instructions to the letter, and I always get system not ok when entering the skc from the original (after logging in etc) on a cluster swap. Part numbers are identical aside from the last letter, and both are petrol. Also the instrument soft coding won't update.

Attached is the new cluster's eeprom, I can get the old, or I have all the immo id/skc info if someone can help.

I greatly appreciate anything!

Post up your ecu eeprom (use argdub's tool to pull it from the ECU) and I should be able to pair your new cluster to it.

I went ahead and got the original cluster's eeprom dump here as well if someone can work some magic for me.

Edit: Saw your reply just now, I think this is what you need

I think the stock bin you have posted is corrupt, my tool is showing its only 897bytes.

What car is this? Immo2 or Immo3?

It's Immo 3, I pulled it straight off myself, but I can double check.

pull it again, or pull the ecu eeprom (use argdubs tool).

Yes, I've just verified that is correct. Apparently Bosch clusters have a much smaller eeprom than VDO

Post the original ecu eeprom.
