That is a terrible reason to use TP. Truly awful, since it is completely wrong. 1) you should understand hex either way 2) there is no difference between TP and WinOLS with respect to knowing "hex" No, the reason to use TP is because it is legal to do so for free, and encouraging noobs to pirate WinOLS is counterproductive. It makes it easy as it ONLY displays what you need to see. winOLS you're in the shit. It's very overwhelming at first, but it's very powerful once you figure it out.
Understanding hex is fundamental. You'll get to the point where you can recognize patterns and see the maps without them being defined. TP is more user friendly for noobs. Starting working with Me7 is the most complicated thing i have ever come across. I don't need one more thing i do not understand :). If you used it for about 5 min and where able to load a file with a map pack, youd understand how its basically the same as tuner pro (but with more options).
