Title: boost map help me7.5 Post by: martin on August 30, 2014, 01:23:30 PM Hi i am new to this site and also new to chip tuning, I am really enjoying learning about programming so far. I have a golf 1.8t aum (kos) 150 with a me7.5 ECU 06A 906 032 HJ. and a spare ecu exactly the same in-case of mistakes! I have used the nefmoto software and a kkl cable to flash a audi aum 180hp map to my ecu and it seams to be working great. however my question is as my target bhp is around 200-210 i would like to try and raise my boost in winols to around 15 psi so what map is directly linked to boost pressure not max boost but boost as u put your foot on the gas? and would it be possible to sawt fulling out through lammiwinks and check air/fuel on vag. thanks Martin.
Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: _nameless on August 30, 2014, 03:00:05 PM Wrong approach bro, read this http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning. This will tell you what maps do what and how they work together. Using unisettings / leminiwinks is not the right way to make changes. Do you have a map pack for your ecu? what 180 version are you using?
EDIT: Im guessing your using the 032HN heres a map pack for your car Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: martin on September 13, 2014, 05:58:55 AM Hi thanks for your reply, i am using a map pack i got off this site but most of it seams to be German and the 180 map i am using i got from this site to and it is Audi A3 1.8T 180HP 06A906032HP.
Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: elerium on June 28, 2015, 03:36:44 AM Hi, i am have golf 4 with 1.8t aum too. I had read s4wiki but dont understand one things: in stock there is 0,6 bar, s4wiki sad: requested boost=10*(LDRXN)+300mbar, in my LDRXN map max values is - 121,01 - requested boost=10*(121,01)+300mbar=1510 - 0,5 bar - does not match with real value.
Where did I go wrong? Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: KmosK04 on June 28, 2015, 04:31:58 AM You're not wrong. If you read the next lines of s4wiki says:
Keep in mind, this is a ROUGH approximation. It is dependent on a large number of factors including air density, temperature, elevation, and the alignment of the stars and the moon. Use the above formula to get close, then adjust based on real world observations. Study a lot the Fdef and the s4wiki and you will understand. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: elerium on June 28, 2015, 07:03:57 AM All matter in the stars and the moon... I was thinking what it mean that calculated by ldrxn boost are above real boost. What is Fdef?
Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: carsey on June 28, 2015, 03:14:46 PM Just flatline your LDRXN and work with open loop boost control. Much better end result
Dont try tune a ECU made for emissions to a power based ECU. Strip it back to basics and tune Boost, Fuel and Timing Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: nyet on June 28, 2015, 09:56:39 PM Hi, i am have golf 4 with 1.8t aum too. Where did I go wrong? 1) You didn't bother reading the rest of the page? http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning#rlsol_to_plsol_calculation 2) rlmax does not always determine rlsol. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: nyet on June 28, 2015, 09:57:50 PM Just flatline your LDRXN and work with open loop boost control. Much better end result That is terrible advice. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: carsey on June 29, 2015, 08:22:27 AM Not really. My ecu on a k04-064 setup is tuned this way with awesome results by one of the leading mappers in the UK. It works perfectly fine, just another method of tuning.
Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: SB_GLI on June 29, 2015, 09:01:49 AM That is terrible advice. x2 OP is looking for around 15psi, not boosting beyond the MAP. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: nyet on June 29, 2015, 09:51:47 AM Not really. My ecu on a k04-064 setup is tuned this way with awesome results by one of the leading mappers in the UK. It works perfectly fine, just another method of tuning. Sigh. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: elerium on June 29, 2015, 11:45:28 AM Thanks for advice.
I changed LDRXN map - (http://s019.radikal.ru/i641/1506/b6/e8d3575f4789.jpg) and go to testing and creating log. It look safe, and i think that i should increase boost more, or correct mixture into unrichable values. I ask comment, please. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: nyet on June 29, 2015, 11:51:55 AM Code: ,Group A:,'002,,,,Group B:,'031,,,,Group C:,'020 Your log has garbage in it. Please use ME7Logger or at least a working version of VCDS. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: elerium on June 29, 2015, 12:38:35 PM here is in VCDS
i am studing me7logger now upg. i see that spec boost in hi revs are overvalued Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: nyet on June 29, 2015, 01:07:56 PM here is in VCDS First log doesn't even have RPM Quote i see that spec boost in hi revs are overvalued How can you possibly tell that by only logging req boost and a few load variables? Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: elerium on June 29, 2015, 01:18:28 PM RPM present in boht logs.
about overvalued - i think this physical limitation of compressor It if necessary, i can post here grid with my logs Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: nyet on June 29, 2015, 01:40:34 PM RPM present in boht logs. Great. Have to add a special case for "Idle Speed" thanks to some shitty VCDS clone. Quote about overvalued - i think this physical limitation of compressor So rework LDRXN or KFLDHBN accordingly. Quote It if necessary, i can post here grid with my logs No, get proper logging working first. Title: Re: boost map help me7.5 Post by: elerium on June 29, 2015, 01:46:09 PM ok, i understand, thanx
