Title: Re: Unable to read ECU flash Post by: ddillenger on September 04, 2014, 12:58:07 PM Did you change the baud rate AFTER connecting?
Because it reverts to max after you connect... Title: Re: Unable to read ECU flash Post by: rsmatt on September 04, 2014, 01:04:47 PM Yes I connected to the car at max rate then changed to the lower rate as you said still getting the message.
Do you think someone has locked the ECU? Title: Re: Unable to read ECU flash Post by: ddillenger on September 04, 2014, 01:06:28 PM Unlikely. What ecu?

Title: Re: Unable to read ECU flash Post by: nyet on September 05, 2014, 09:35:48 AM its a 2001 b5 RS4 so it should have the ME7.5 Quote KWP1281 connect info: ¸D0907551K 2.7l V6/5VT G 0001 RS4 (in your case 551K) is not ME7.5, it is ME7.1 Try pulling the cluster fuse? Also try to flash the ECU on the bench (shouldn't need bootmode). |
