Title: ME7Sum Problems Post by: b4A4nowA6 on September 16, 2014, 09:26:41 AM Ok guys.. Thanks for the motivation to do this myself. lol So I have FINALLY been able to perform a checksum "check/correction" with ME7Sum.. After all was said and done, it corrected a few things but was aborted in the end.. I have included the printout of the test.. Any clues what do to now?
Honestly Thanks for everyone's helpful input, and to those who have dedicated so much of there time answering the same questions 1000 times over. Title: Re: ME7Sum Problems Post by: b4A4nowA6 on September 16, 2014, 10:31:02 AM I have also tried using ME7Check from cmd and No matter what I can think of I get an access denied message.

Title: Re: ME7Sum Problems Post by: b4A4nowA6 on September 16, 2014, 11:01:10 AM ME7.1.1 is not well supported by ME7Sum, unfortunately. ok, so what do you think my options are? I got ME7Check to finally work.. Sort of. Is it supposed to Fix the errors? or just let you know? Is there a way to take the fixes from ME7Sum and apply them to ME7Check? I will include a shot of what ME7Check says.. Thanks for the help.Title: Re: ME7Sum Problems Post by: nyet on September 16, 2014, 11:11:49 AM Unfortunately, there is no way to do that.
If we had the source code to ME7Check I could add it in easily to ME7Sum, but I don't. It does things I don't understand. Need some smart people to help me finish ME7Sum :( Title: Re: ME7Sum Problems Post by: Tony@NefMoto on September 16, 2014, 12:54:16 PM I should be able to help. NefMoto checksum support is 95% done and handles ME7.1, ME7.1.1, ME7.5. Once I get some source code released... ;)

Title: Re: ME7Sum Problems Post by: Tony@NefMoto on September 16, 2014, 02:12:51 PM GREAT NEWS! Will do. If I recall correctly, I got the Audi AllRoad checksums to work before I stopped working on checksums.Have you taken a look at the various failed bins in the ME7Sum thread? I am in a Unix class though.Title: Re: ME7Sum Problems Post by: b4A4nowA6 on September 16, 2014, 04:00:47 PM I guess my question right now would be, there is one incorrectable error on Me7Sum.. anything I can do about that manually? I see that when the ME7Sum runs, the parts that are not ok, they CalcChk does not match. Is there some place like in the Hex dump i could change that? AM I just shooting in the Dark?

Title: Re: ME7Sum Problems Post by: b4A4nowA6 on September 17, 2014, 09:40:30 AM For B4A4nowA6. Thanks SO much for your help and motivation to even get this far. I am really exited to see how this works out for me and keep moving forward from here. I am thinking I need to purchase whatever program you are using to fix checksum or wait untill ME7Sum or ME7Check can do ME7.1.1 Once again thank you! |
