Post by: manzheka on September 17, 2014, 06:55:08 AM
hello guys! I'm a newbie on your forum, so I do not know all. I was faced with the following problem. my car Jetta MK4 Gli, 1,8t 180hp, ecu 06a906032sl. i have two ecu, on the first after a one-time trip more than 40 miles  it will not start again and problem solved after reflashing ecu, and the second don't run the engine two times streak. this problem solved with reconnecting battery teminal.  I understand that it is not the correct checksum of eeprom, but don't know how solve my problem. I have a dump of eeprom from the first and the second ecu. so who can help me with my problem???

Checksums look ok and you dont have the death code set. Suspect your issue is a checksum error with the flash, read it off using nef and lets have a look.

$ python eepromtool.py jeta\ eeprom\ 2.bin
Read in 512bytes
EEPROM Status:
- Version: Immo3
- VIN: 9BWDE61J954032125 (VW Brazil 2005 - Golf and Bora 4)
- SKC: 01771
- Immobiliser: Off
- Checksum: OK
- Size: 512bytes
- Cluster Code: 40 85 40 7F 38 4F A1
- P0601 DTC: not set
- Immo ID: VWZ7Z0E1370656
- Softcoding ID: 7500
- Tuner Tag:
- Flash Read/Write (successful): 0
- Flash Read/Write (attempts): 0

$ python eepromtool.py jeta\ eeprom\ 3.bin

What maps (flash) have you got on there? pull the flash off using nefmoto (see the getting started guide) and have a look with me7check.
