Title: New To This Tuning Thing... Post by: audi_skydiver on November 05, 2009, 07:53:54 PM First off I want to say thank you to everyone who is doing all this hard work. I appreciate it.
I have been looking around these forums for a bit now and am wondering if you can tell me/point me to somewhere that will show what programs I will need to be able to successfully read/edit/write to the ecu. I have seen so many different things and am confused. Also i understand that you need a .xdf file for the different ECU versions? I have an 01.5 TIP s4 with the AA box. I want to disable the SAI system in it. What can I do to do that? If you guys can help me get started I would love to throw that info up on this site once i figure it out. I just need to know how to do everything safely. Thanks guys and I do appologize in advance if I am just not seeing what I need to see. Thanks and i want to help contribute to this as much as possible... especially since there don't seem to be any .bins or .xdfs for the AA box. Josh Title: Re: New To This Tuning Thing... Post by: audi_skydiver on November 05, 2009, 07:59:54 PM Forgot to add that I do have a usb cable with the FTDI FT232BL chip in it. It works with UNIsettings and vag-com.

I'm giddy as a schoolgirl at the prospect of some datalogging software because those bastards at APR refuse to sell me a registration file for ECUx. :( Sent you a PM on AZ a while back about this, but I'd love to do anything I can to help you get that out as soon as you can, beta-testing and bug reporting wise, if you want. Also willing to kick in a few bucks for the cause and I'm sure I'm not alone on that one based on the complete lack of a worthwhile datalogging option for the B5 S4.
