Title: MED9.1 - WinOLS - Offset Post by: m_chieppa on October 13, 2014, 09:55:58 AM Hi,
I did a lot of reading about the med9.1 and WinOls. I have a BDM read from my ECU, but now I a little stuck with importing the Damos for my ECU. I know I have to look for a map I know in my map and take a note of the (hex)location and then look at the Maps Pack and look at the (hex)location and note it. Then I calculated the Offset, when importing the Maps Pack I filled in the Offset I calculated, but when I look at other maps I see a lot of maps that don't line-up right. So I tried the Damos from here, same problem. But when I want to import Damos maps I can see in WinOLS how many maps line-up right. WinOLS says more then 600 maps don't line-up??? But for KFMIRL the map lines up, but for 600 others it doesn't..... :-( What am I doing wrong? Extra information: Car: Skoda Octavia Combi RS 2.0 TFSI Year: 2006 Engine: BWA (1Z0907115A) Maps Pack: 0261B00486.kp Damos: D915A_41W200.a2l If someone needs more information, just ask me. I hope someone can help me with this. I'm a little bit stuck now. Another question: When I input the offset for a Map Pack or Damos, does the offset also apply to the x and y axis location of the maps? Or do I have to do the offset manually with a hex calculator? Title: Re: MED9.1 - WinOLS - Offset Post by: ddillenger on October 13, 2014, 12:23:16 PM Not all maps will be offset by the same amount if the mappack is not for your specific ecu.
Title: Re: MED9.1 - WinOLS - Offset Post by: m_chieppa on October 14, 2014, 01:27:53 AM Ok
I see that the 0261B00486.kp file is for a: Car: Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TFSi Turbo 200PS / 147.1KW ECU type: MED9.1 Hardware version: 8P0907115 / 0261B00486 I searched for my car, I think I need a map pack with the number: 0261S02114 I didn't know that a map pack was specific for ECU hardware version number, because the ECU type and engine of the Golf is exectly the same as the Octavia, BWA. sometime the axis offset is different too. looks like youre gonna have to search them out. once you do, please post the mappack, so to maybe save the next guy a bit of time. thats what ive done for my sepcific ecu. we gotta work together!! Title: Re: MED9.1 - WinOLS - Offset Post by: m_chieppa on October 15, 2014, 12:10:08 AM I will give it a try.
At the moment I have an original map and a tuner map. Now I want to know what are the differences (why are they raised or lowered) and will start with those maps first to adjust the offset and the axis. I'm just a noob so it will cost me a lot of time to find it out. Are the axis always on front of the map or also at the end or in the middle or mixed? This one perfectly matches my ecu, no offset needed. No see that I can find more maps to identify all differences from the original bin file and the tuned bin file. Title: Re: Post by: technic on December 04, 2014, 01:43:32 AM Axises are not always in front of the maps. They can be anywhere, but typically in the beginning of the file
