Title: rail pressure on med 9.1 2.0 Tfsi
Post by: mbkr89 on October 23, 2014, 10:44:01 PM
hi i have some problems with the rail pressure. I put him on 125bar, only sometimes he hang at 88 or 100. when I go to full load and the pressure before is about 100 bar then he goes to the setpoint only when I am under 100 bar he hangs often. is the problem known?

The stock pump internals are simply insufficient.
Upgraded HPFP is highly adviseable for anything above Stage 1 tunes.

Alternatively you can limit the boost at lower rpms (<5000rpm) but you will be limited to ~1.1bar of boost at high revs too.
At high revs the problem won't be the actual flow of the pump but the flow of the injectors at pressures the pump is capable.

You should also check the cam follower for wear.

today i have log the car with vsdc.
the rail pressure always depend on different values.
The value in is 125 bar in the map.

Hi, do you have resolve this issue since last year?
I've same issue, hpfp request don't go to the pressure request in all target map (125bar) sometime all is fine, next pull request is too low 85-100bar for one or two pull (with lambda too lean and throttle intervention...

Thanks

Yes i have solve the problem.
Think always, railpressur is torque on tfsi engine ;)

Thanks for your interrest!

The axis for the railpressure setpoint maps is "inidziertes Fahrerwunschmoment vor Änderungsbegrenzung" then ok, it's related to driver torque request?

I don't understand why my load is caping to 191 when I ask a full load, but ecu don't send the good torque request for railpressure calculation?

Maybe I need to mod KFPED maps?

Maybe should I check another way?

Thanks!

hello! i`m from Argentina, my audi s3 have the same problem and i change every part i can to save the problem but this not change.

Changed original and ttrs fuel pump, autotech and hpfp new, rail sensor, lpfp sensor, ecu, injectors, chain and tensor, variator vvt, crank and camshaft sensors. All new

Channel 91 & 94 in vagcom all perfect, (2 to -2 when hot engine).

If accelerate the car in movement with the rail charged in 100bar or more...the requested rail is 135bar and the actual rail follows perfect all. (not problem in this case)

If accelerate from 0-100 km/h with the rail charged in 50bar, the requested rail is 90, 80, 100 in diferrent tests but never go to 135bar, timing injection is more 10.0, lambda control go to +25 and the throttle close.

Try with original map and the problem is minor...but persist.

Any idea for help me to discover the origin of the problem? Thanks in advance
