Title: deka 630 misfires Post by: armageddon on November 06, 2014, 08:20:26 AM Let me see if I can explain my problem.
Exemple: dowhill, foot barely on gas pedal I am geting misfires. Think this is ''normal'' on dekas on low voltage/impulse. Idle is fine, idle speed is higher to avoid misfires. Is there a way to disable misfire detection based on pedal position or load? *sorry bad english Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: armageddon on November 06, 2014, 02:35:52 PM maybe this?

Lean mixture = misfires Deka 630 aren't linear at low pulses : http://siemensdeka.com/specsheets/FI114961.jpg Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: armageddon on November 07, 2014, 06:18:26 AM FKKVS table is stock
I don't think I am actually having misfires, but ecu thinks so, I don't notice engine misfiring. I only see misfires if downhill foot out of gas and them put a 'feather's' pressure on gas pedal, on all other range no misfire count at all. If there is no solution for this I will disable misfire DTC because I can monitor them with fis-control Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: aef on November 08, 2014, 05:01:11 AM You should edit your FKKVS to suit your Dekas and see what going on afterwards.
Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: kyleb999 on November 08, 2014, 06:43:52 PM I have been seeing issues with my deka 630s at idle and very low load/injector pw. I have a very slight miss at idle and some bucking when lifting from low load or pedaling into low load. I have not touched fkkvs but have been altering tvub. This has made the bucking issue about 90% better, but i still have slight idle misfires, which do go away while the clutch pedal is pressed in and the alternate torque reserve map is used.
What is your tvub table? Heres mine, i may be adding a few more percent. Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: armageddon on November 09, 2014, 03:59:23 PM On idle I'm not having misfires, this is what I have changed NLLM KFMRES KFMRESK
I made some changes to FKKVS but didn't tried them yet. Here is my TVUB table, fuel trims idle=0 multi= -2.8% Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: nyet on November 09, 2014, 04:04:53 PM They're crap. Get EV14s and call it a day. Not worth hacking a tune around (or tracking down the source of the misfires since you don't know if is the injectors).
Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: armageddon on November 10, 2014, 03:01:52 AM I was not having misfires before going stage 3, so I supouse they are from the dekas.
For now I will stick with the dekas, in the future maybe i replace them for EV14s. Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: dream3R on November 10, 2014, 08:31:06 AM They run alright when you bring up their pulsewidth up past 1.4+ms at idle. That's on a WB car though.
Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: armageddon on November 11, 2014, 02:41:21 AM Thanks for the tip aef, tested some changes on fkkvs and now almost all misfires are gone, I get one or two but not many times.

Just curious what you have done with FKKVS?to increase some value at that range of decrease the value? Title: Re: deka 630 misfires Post by: aef on November 17, 2014, 05:10:58 AM There is a thread and a tool to adjust the fkkvs map.
