Title: KRKTE Injector Constant for newer RS4 4.2L V8 -079 906 036N Post by: ericpaulyoung on November 17, 2014, 05:12:27 PM I have the newer style FSI injectors from a 2013 RS4 Avant that I am installing into my 2008 2.0L A4 FSI. However I cannot find the injector constant for these newer style injectors, part number 079 906 036N.

So I will start with the old value that Fotis first posted a couple years back, then set my adjustment map to 1.001 everywhere, and adjust the constant until the trims are +-2%. I will post the results back here when done.

And why would you mount a set of injectors that you do not know the size of? They might even be smaller than the ones you have now. Honestly I am doing it just to try and see if one of the newer multi hole injectors will work in the B7 A4 and see if they make a difference (if any at all). I just enjoy the experimentation side of working on my car. If they are crap, then I will throw them in the spare parts bin. If for some reason they work great, then we will the know the option exists.

They will fit just fine. Only difference is they will sit out 1mm less into the combustion chamber. However, this won't be a problem at all, as it will just make it sit more flush :)

Depending on how you adjust your other fuel trims, the constant may be a little different. But they work great and did not require messing with the lag, timing, or anything else that the old RS4 injectors require you to do :) Good stuff all around.

Looking at the injector constant it seems that they are larger than the S3 injectors that many people use if lag, timing and nothing else is changed. How much did you pay for them in Germany and where did you order? So I thought I would try them out. They run great with a constant of 0.025990, and you can adjust that if you make changes elsewhere. This is just the constant I am currently running with my MAF and throttle plate angle settings. I have it dialed in so that all those together are running great and I have fuel enough for the low 30's psi :)
I replaced my throttle body with a larger version and have been adjusting my alpha-n at the same time, so I do not know if this is caused by the injectors. But I do have a little delay in the cold starts. It is like 2 seconds of pause before it fires up. Other than that, they run fine and give me plenty of fuel for quite a lot of air flow. I am going to try to start playing with the injector angle/latency to see if I can get rid of the cold start delay.
