My goals right now are to understand how the ECU and various related stuff works and to code out some emissions stuff since my cats are failing and I don't really feel like dropping hundreds on a tune. I ordered a Chinese cable a few weeks ago and I'm just waiting on it to arrive :). I'm an undergrad studying computer science so I'm also interested in learning how these programs interact with cars and maybe even writing some stuff once I understand some of it.
I plan on eventually swapping in a 2.7t once I have enough funds and hopefully tune/remap it myself. Again, welcome, and good luck! Thanks for the suggestion. I got a clone version of the Ross-Tech HEX CAN cable from aliexpress do you know if that will be good? It claims to work for up to MY14 cars.
