Title: Start up rpm? Post by: masterj on December 08, 2014, 02:24:10 AM Could someone point me to FR module which is responsible for engine start up rpm (just after engine start)? I've looked into LL* modules but haven't found info on that there
Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: TijnCU on December 08, 2014, 03:05:52 AM From the s4 wiki:
You can bump the idle/cold start RPM as well: KFNLLKHM - Elevated idle RPM until motor is warm KFNLLNST - Start RPM (momentary) I think you should be able to locate them in the FR Title: Re: Start up rpm? Closest (KFNLLNST) has some sort of delay before starting. I thought that it would start just after crank but it takes around 1s to actually kick in. I'll have to check ASM I guess.... Unless someone has a clue Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: TijnCU on December 08, 2014, 09:23:07 AM I took a quick look, and I am not really into the FR, but I see tnst that could be a source of the delay? It is hooked to many other functions though...
Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: masterj on December 08, 2014, 12:18:41 PM tnst is the time after engine start. I have 0 column and it doesn't fire up instantly. Maybe I'll try logging if there's maybe some sort of rpm filtering that is actually limiting the requested rpm
Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: vwaudiguy on December 08, 2014, 09:13:45 PM What are you trying to accomplish, masterj?
Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: masterj on December 08, 2014, 11:54:33 PM I'm trying to create initial 2200 - 800 rpm sweep on start up as you can see in supercars ;D Almost done with KFNLLNST (when setting axis to something like 0 1 2 3 4 5) and first column rpm 2550 (FF) all others 0. Though sometimes it lags a little before firing up the sweep.

by KFNLLNST and its axis unfortunally my laptop isnt here and i cant tell you more about axe values, but as i remember it starting with <1 sec.. something like 0.5 maybe? Title: Re: Start up rpm? I have 0 in first column. Strange is that today it fired up instantly but yesterday delayed for <1s. Anyway, I guess since today everything is OK I'll stick with KFNLLNST and call it a day Title: Re: Start up rpm? I love hearing the exotics start up next to my work. There is a exotic car sales and leasing company right next door: http://www.mvlleasing.com/used-inventory/index.htm?reset=InventoryListing. I usually have a good drool when the loading door opens. Title: Re: Start up rpm? Is there some benefit to this? I thought it was bad to rev the engine up on initial start? Title: Re: Start up rpm? Nah, just novelty :) just because I've already done everything that we do here usually I thought I'll try to find some new interesting and untested things. Title: Re: Start up rpm? Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: turdburglar44 on December 16, 2014, 04:09:08 PM what exactly are the axes of KFNLLNST?
Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: aef on December 17, 2014, 02:50:52 AM Time after start in seconds and tmot in Grad Celsius
Title: Re: Post by: turdburglar44 on December 17, 2014, 05:38:05 AM Hmmm that's what I thought. I'm having a hell of a time finding it in my bin. I was thinking maybe it was tmotlin or something.
Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: masterj on December 17, 2014, 06:37:39 AM Hm... yet again this not always fires right away... Very strange, I'll have to log nmot and time after start, but 50/50 chance that there will be some sort of delay before KFNLLNST kicks in.
Engine start>800rpm->~0.5s->XXXRPM that was set in KFNLLNST Title: Re: Start up rpm? Post by: ReproLogic on November 15, 2017, 01:28:04 PM Hm... yet again this not always fires right away...
