Title: Bosch EDC16 REMAP | Torque/Power Calculation Post by: goncaloasantos on December 11, 2014, 10:14:19 AM Hi everyone, i have Alfa Romeo GT 1.9 JTD 150hp. i've been made a map for my car, i turn off my egr and put same tweeks on torque limiter, pressure limiter, injection time, Turbo boost.. etc..
i don't know how calculate the power and torque of this map, because i dont have mg/stroke in fuel quantity, i have torque,RPM.. As i know, EDC16 have diferent way to define injetion, is not mg/stroke.. how can i calculate the power and torque of this map? Thank you. I use this maximum torque limiter on the picture? anyway, for example, by default on original map @2000 RPM i had 355Nm of limit and in fact i had 305Nm@2000 RPM by Alfa Romeo specs.. (355-305= 50Nm of difference) Now i have 443.5 Nm@2000RPM (more 25% of 355Nm), i can make direct calculation for the torque? 443.5Nm-50Nm= 393.5Nm@2000 RPM. its true? i'm sorry about this questions, i'm trying to understand. This is my map. https://mega.co.nz/#!w09gFSYA!87HMN5IHKvIjDv8Ghndnkx8TeSLojMcchlbcEh3UObM Thank you. (http://s28.postimg.org/atzwyhl6h/FUEL.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/atzwyhl6h/) Log injection qty and compare it with the map. For example 100mg means approx 500Nm Title: Re: Bosch EDC16 REMAP | Torque/Power Calculation Post by: goncaloasantos on December 12, 2014, 03:33:07 PM Thanks.

Title: Re: Bosch EDC16 REMAP | Torque/Power Calculation Post by: goncaloasantos on December 13, 2014, 01:52:36 PM IQ x 4.96 = Nm 100 mm^3 = ~83 mg, this is correct? This relations IQ is in mg? IQ x 4.96 = Nm is for JTD engine? because we have a different way to calculate on VAG engine i believe. EDIT: Something is not correct in this calculation.. if i use only the IQ i dont have right values for the original ecu file, and another thing, in my map i have 2% more of IQ. my ecu is EDC16C8.. 1.9 16v JTD engine Thanks man Title: Re: Bosch EDC16 REMAP | Torque/Power Calculation Post by: cerips on December 13, 2014, 03:46:15 PM Density of diesel is 835 Kg/m3
which is 835,000,000 mg/m3 which is 0.835 mg/mm3 so 100 mm3 = 83.5 mg Title: Re: Bosch EDC16 REMAP | Torque/Power Calculation Post by: dayofthejackal on December 14, 2014, 12:44:23 PM IQ x 4.96 = Nm Sorry, for VAG EDC16 presumed it would of been the same Title: Re: Bosch EDC16 REMAP | Torque/Power Calculation Post by: goncaloasantos on December 14, 2014, 08:26:42 PM With your experience, can you please analize my map, and give same feedback?
