Title: Raising injection time not in gear
Post by: dream3R on December 13, 2014, 07:16:35 AM
Hi guys,

I've got shit dekas but they work ok when above 1.4ms or so injection time.

Idle I can fix,  and have done with kfmres etc,  but for my local emissions the tester has to hold it at 3k in neutral and test for co and other stuff.

Problem is when I log it injection time is below 1.3ms in this area and it causes misfires.

Any ideas on a fix?

JUST for inspection, raise TEMIN.

JUST for inspection, raise TEMIN.

I was thinking about that.  I'll look in-to it thanks!

Stupid question: If TEMIN is higher than the needed TE for a given amount of air ingested, what does ME7 do, if anything (other than prevent TI from going too low)

I'm expecting it to run rich.   But we shall see.   Perhaps extra code when gangi ==0 jumps to shit deka temin is required :)

Also they measure lambda so we'll see will test tomorrow

rather than modifying TEMIN, modify KFMRES and KFMRESK. This is torque reserve map for idle. It will raise load and retard timing, result will be more IPWM on injectors.

Then modify KFRLMN, this is absolute minimum load when injectors are on. Bump this for 80C column to something like at least 15 (log this, make the value high enough so that it is above that 1.3ms per injector when you log them at 3k no-load)  and that will establish permanent floor for cylinder filling. ECU will fill cylinders at that value, along with longer pulse width and appropriately retard timing to result in proper engine behavior.

Thanks I've already done kfmres  kfrlmn no though.   IDA here I come!   No map pack are such a joy.   Cracking idea thanks.
