Title: Idle Hunting/Jumping. What could be the reason of that behavior???
Post by: eliotroyano on December 19, 2014, 12:26:23 PM
Hi friends. I have a doubt about a weird behavior at idle. Please check logs around 1min and 16min time period. Basically I notice that idle jumps really hard, like hunting for idle. To add info to the post, engine is 1.8T AGU DBC with 06A906018CG M383 ECU.
Basically this situation occurs from cold startup to warm. Also with AA on is worst. The engine is hot, sometimes do it but is practically not detectable.

Here I left you some pics and log of my issue. Some advice will be really nice. Take a look at logs aroun minute 1 and around minute 16.

You have a vacuum-booster under your intake? And maybe a check-valve in there that could be haunting you.
Or maybe just trouble with your TB?

Thanks for the advice but everything starts since I start tweaking ECU in car, inclusive one car is warm and get hot it barelly occurs. About other comments, TB is same of all time and I pretty sure that is totally OK. I have checked and seems to work properly. About check valves, I don't have PCV system, no SAI and check valves for brakes and gas tank ventilation are new.

If it started after you tinkered with it, then i guess you should post your file, ori and mod.

It is always wrong TVUB, provided hardware is ok. Log misfires too and you will see it misfiring.

What injectors are you running?

I have been running Genesis I 415cc injectors with my OEM 1.8T AGU TVUB values:
V 7,960   10,000   11,970   14,010   15,980
  1,707   1,141           0,661           0,491            0,341

I also scaled TEMIN from 1.1997 to 0.7505 for new 415cc injectors. I notice that basically problem occurs at low injector´s period values.
