Title: TLST (Startgrundmenge) from M383 / M593 ECUs. Exactly what this function do???? Post by: eliotroyano on January 02, 2015, 06:54:35 PM I have been searching about this topic but I have different information that is contradictory. Then again, please for M383 & M592 ECUs anyone can tell me: What is the usage of TLST (Startgrundmenge in ms. / Startup injected fuelmass in ms.)? When (in what condition) applies TLST? How can be adjusted for bigger injectors? It is from the function list: TLST Startgrundmenge --> EVSTUE A 9.0 Einspritzung Vorsteuerung Übersicht.
Seems to me that it defines the point of time for fuel injection start, measured from period of time available for it at different RPMs. I saw other usage talking about it for engine startup only. Please can anyone can help me with that doubt? Thanks a lot to all for it support. Elio PS: Happy New Year to all. Best wishes for new year. Title: Re: TLST (Startgrundmenge) from M383 / M593 ECUs. You must lower it for big injectors. :) Thanks a lot for your comment RS-MAD, but do you if that value is affected by FGAT0 globally and/or cold/hot startup factors? Also it can be scaled linealy (old injectors/new injectors) or should correspond to some kind of value (ms) per injector flow? Title: Re: TLST (Startgrundmenge) from M383 / M593 ECUs. Exactly what this function do???? Post by: overspeed on January 07, 2015, 08:00:12 AM Its not afected by FGATO, it´s the opening time im ms (plus TUVB)

About big injectors, TLST can be scaled lineally? Title: Re: TLST (Startgrundmenge) from M383 / M593 ECUs. Exactly what this function do???? For sure some other variables modifies engine startup fuel injection process. I need to check it and do some trial and error test to isolate how it works and how to get better functionality. Title: Re: TLST (Startgrundmenge) from M383 / M593 ECUs. Exactly what this function do???? Post by: eliotroyano on January 15, 2015, 08:30:14 AM I ussually make a linear correction and test in various conditions (warn/cool engine) For example OEM TLST for my 1.8T AGU engine with 06A90618CG ECU is 17,334ms of injection period per injection cycle per RPM. Cold startup is OK @ 20°C ambient temp, something rich but acceptable. I saw 16.32ms (max DC viewed in logs) of injection period at cold startups. I don't have AFR measure because my wideband gauge restarts everytime I cycle ignition key. Hot startup is the problem, around @ 28-30°C ambient temp and 40°C+ intake temps engine gets flooded. I need to try 2 o 3 times before it slowly and flooded it startup again. During hot startups I saw around 8ms of injection period. Title: Re: TLST (Startgrundmenge) from M383 / M593 ECUs. Exactly what this function do???? Post by: Placebo on March 02, 2017, 05:08:00 PM Fitting some bigger injectors and thinking I need this for my m5.92. My bin is a 8D0907558m (attached) and have not found it yet. Tried translating from a 557P bin and kp file I found em but TLST.0 and TLST.1 showed different and unreasonable values. I always thought these should replicate if correct and not sure if the factor in the kp file is correct. My bin is attached, if anyone knows the location and factor for TLST, please let me know.
Any help is appreciated. Title: Re: TLST (Startgrundmenge) from M383 / M593 ECUs. Exactly what this function do????
