Title: XDF to .kp or a2l ? Post by: msrundercober on January 07, 2015, 03:02:45 AM Hi,
is it possible to convert xdf files into .kp or a2l files to use them with winols ? Greetz D. Title: Re: XDF to .kp or a2l ? Post by: nyet on January 07, 2015, 10:35:03 AM .kp will be very very hard to generate. EVC (in their infinite euro tuner style wisdom) decided to use a proprietary, non-portable, inconsistent binary only format. I doubt they will ever document it. I doubt it is even possible to document it.
a2l is possible, but would require a bit of work. Title: Re: XDF to .kp or a2l ? Post by: msrundercober on January 07, 2015, 11:27:39 AM thx for your quick answer.
a2l would do it for me. can you help me to get on the right path ? Greetz D. Title: Re: XDF to .kp or a2l ? Post by: nyet on January 07, 2015, 12:54:28 PM the .xdf format is pretty self explanatory, its basically an xml file with a few obfuscated tags (which I can help you with if you run into problems)
You can load it with just about any xml parser. The tricky part is outputting into a2l, which, unfortunately, I do not know that much about. You'll have to find a2l syntax documentation. I've been meaning to make an a2l generator but since the format isn't well known to me i haven't gotten around to it. If you have COMPLETE a2l files (as a reference) you can upload them here and I can take a look. |
