Title: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: Gaute on February 07, 2015, 04:38:22 PM Sirs
I need help! I bought a second hand AEB engine from a car breaker. The engine was missing the fuel pressure regulator. My questions are: -Can anyone tell me what fuel pressure I should try to start with? I have bought an adjustable regulator. -Is the IMO disabled? If not disabled can anyone please modify the .bin file so I can burn it back to the eeprom with disabled IMO? -What do you think the output is from this engine? Engine data: ------------ -AEB with mech. trottle, not el. controlled. -Turbosx blow off valve. -ECU BOSCH 8D0 907 557, 0 261 203 550/551 with AM29F010B-JC70 EEPROM (PLCC32) -Injector BOSCH 0 280 150 447, 572, 060 (stock I think) -Turbo GARRETT ODM 36429, 472569-5015S (ATP Eliminator kit?) -Hi flow cast iron ex-manifold -Front mount large IC -3" exhaust with test pipe. .bin file from chip attached Please advise. I have bought an adjustable regulator. If I remember right, 1.8T AEB uses a 4Bar FPR.-Is the IMO disabled? If not disabled can anyone please modify the .bin file so I can burn it back to the eeprom with disabled IMO? Immo is located in a serial eeprom, 24C02 IC, near main processor.-What do you think the output is from this engine? All depends of tune it is using. According to the specs you have indicated, that is a GT2871R turbo, that is a very capable turbo.http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/shop/4725605015s-new-genuine-ball-bearing-turbo-for-nissan-200sx-p-1930.html (http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/shop/4725605015s-new-genuine-ball-bearing-turbo-for-nissan-200sx-p-1930.html) http://www.turbo-shop.net/en/Garrett-GT2871R-0.64AR-Turbocharger.html (http://www.turbo-shop.net/en/Garrett-GT2871R-0.64AR-Turbocharger.html) But with OEM injectors is a bad idea. Ok some new questions as I try to learn :P -what injectors should I look for? I guess I need dual spray pattern sine I think I have big port head. -I am not able to locate the IMO 24C02 IC in my ECU ::) ???? -Comments on my .bin file is appreciated, is it a tune or not? For injectors I would say at least 550cc dual spray pattern, 440cc could work, but it would at it limit or doesn't allow you full boost capabilities. Best bet is that you do your math according to BHP desired. About Immo I forgot that it is an much older style ECU. It should be an small 8pin IC labeled B58258 in back face of ECU. You will need to desolder, work it and solder it again for immo off. About bin, let me have some more time to look at it, sorry. -Now I found the IMO chip 8 legs on it ;D I will try to search it up, to figure out how to read/write to it! Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: Gaute on February 08, 2015, 04:13:50 PM Is the correct chip type to use on my eeprpm programer :sgs-thomson ST24C02 @ SOIC8 for my IMO chip?
Eeprom 24C02= B58258? Please advise Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: eliotroyano on February 08, 2015, 06:50:17 PM Is the correct chip type to use on my eeprpm programer :sgs-thomson ST24C02 @ SOIC8 for my IMO chip? I have to buy a hot air soldering station!!! ;) Any one have a IMO off .bin I can program to the new chip i have to buy? Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: _mumin_ on February 10, 2015, 12:05:02 AM Can You make a picture of ecu board ... i never seen AEB ecu with 29f010.

With out the chip, just the socket. Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: Gaute on February 10, 2015, 06:07:02 PM Any one able to help me with IMO .bin file or info no my "maybe tune" .bin file? No one that want's to help a poor Noggie.
Noggie = Norwegian ;D Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: Gaute on February 10, 2015, 07:07:01 PM I did a hex compare.
My .bin file is obviously a tune. Someone in here smart enough to tell me what fuel pressure to begin with? I am not trying to be rude. Please don't misunderstand me ;) Please advice a nobb ;) Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: eliotroyano on February 10, 2015, 07:19:07 PM Any one able to help me with IMO .bin file or info no my "maybe tune" .bin file? Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: Gaute on February 10, 2015, 08:31:37 PM Just ordered 10 ea. 24C02 eprom's,
I am looking for a hot air soldering station (220 Vac). Do you have any solder station to recommend? I want quality for money, second hand is OK for me, if high quality and superior condition. -What kind of soldering paste is recommended to use in ECU's? -what kind of flux fluid is recommended in ECU's? My vision is getting worse too >:( so I need some magnifying stuff to be able to see what I am doing. I need advice on good magnifying equipment with light too (220 Vac)............ so I may be able to see what I am doing ::) Recommendations appreciated. . It had an AM29F010B-120JI chip. The bin file is attached. I think it is a mild BSR tune for Audi AEB 1995 FWD. Title: Re: Audi AEB fuel pressure question++++ Post by: salex on February 11, 2015, 10:37:51 AM Hint: Because on these ECUs engine load is purely airflow based, you can add larger injectors and a larger MAF housing to make your life easier.
With a little bit of work on the remap you will have it running like a champ. Be careful, there is no MAP sensor anywhere on board so boost management is done through cylinder filling calculations. Of course you should forget about the stock injectors, they are not even good enough for 230hp. Get something bigger but with low latency and a 3bar FPR along with an upgraded fuel pump to handle the extra flow needed. The AEB engine can easily handle what you want of it, if it is in good condition. But you have to respect it to get there too. |
