Title: Gotta say thanks for the 95040 help NefMoto...
Post by: rayce on July 10, 2011, 08:55:26 PM
Just wanted to say thanks to NefMoto for such a great source of information. I have managed to read my butt off and with the info so far I now have two spare keys thanks to the successful SKC retrieval by using my old skool willem parallel with a S0IC8 adapter. It all came clear with 0x32 0x33 e.g. 0x06 0x24 = 2406 = SKC--> 09222. I now have a backup bin of my M95040 to boot. I found a definition file for my newly acquired 04TT 225BEA Quattro and it looks like I will be copy pasting translation for weeks before I can start putting together a good tune. So far it has been real interesting read and I see a lot of care has to be taken to prevent one change from affecting another or alarming (tripping a code).
I will take a look at the protocol and see if I can write some software that will help me. Funny, this stuff is much like the way I program PLC. I have written quite a few apps that use the com port and protocols like Modbus and Ascii so we will see. I think its just finding the time…. he he

Thanks again and best regards to everyone….
