Title: 2001 A6 C5 4.2 v8 tip to 6spd swap Post by: nicsquillaci on February 20, 2015, 06:55:13 AM I'm doing a tip to manual swap on an 01 A6 C5 4.2 v8 AWN
Does anyone have an ECU file for s6 with a 6spd? Thanks Title: Re: 2001 A6 C5 4.2 v8 tip to 6spd swap Post by: prj on February 20, 2015, 02:25:21 PM What are you trying to accomplish with the S6 file?
The injectors are different, the intake flaps are different, the MAF is different and so on. You can't just flash the S6 6 spd in there, it won't work properly. I use the S6 file as a base, mainly because I have been for a long time. There are a TON of calibration differences, and even more code changes if you want it to run properly. The 4D0907559E is the S6 file you're after. Title: Re: 2001 A6 C5 4.2 v8 tip to 6spd swap Post by: nicsquillaci on February 23, 2015, 09:21:30 AM Probably I asked it the wrong way, sorry. I'm doing a 6spd swap on a 01 4.2 V8 AWN. I was looking for an ECU file for a 6spd.

Title: Re: 2001 A6 C5 4.2 v8 tip to 6spd swap Post by: hopsis on February 24, 2015, 12:26:20 AM The thing is that there isn't an 6-speed ecu file for AWN as manual transmission was never an option for 4.2 A6 cars. If You use the manual file from a S6, You have a ton of work to do. Pretty much everything upwards of cylinder block is different. It can be done, of course. There just isn't a flash and forget way to do it.
