Title: Boost question Post by: envisionmore on July 12, 2011, 07:53:02 PM From my understanding, the yellow is the % load on the vehicle, but I do not understand what is in red. It seems that the bottom left of the table is the lowest boost, and to the top is the highest boost. Can someone clue me in on what exactly is boxed in red? Currently working on an A box tune if that helps.

Title: Re: Boost question Post by: Matt Danger on July 12, 2011, 09:17:45 PM Upm = RPM
Title: Re: Boost question Post by: envisionmore on July 12, 2011, 09:40:31 PM Got it all figured out ;D, I appreciate the help guys. From what I was reading here and around S4Wiki, I upped the boost by 10% on everything to still give it a nice little boost curve that will still taper down. I know I need fueling and that I'm going to add a little bit of timing retardation, but is there anything else that I should be aware of? I'm thinking boost PID needs to be changed?

Just remember req load will follow LDRXN at wot more than IRL Title: Re: Boost question Post by: ElementalVoid on July 18, 2011, 11:14:39 PM Also, here's a gem from Rick that you should read: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,638.msg5419.html#msg5419
I originally did what you described (i.e. raised KFMIRL by a few percent across the board). I did this because there was another person on this forum who posted a tune which did the same and because my interpretation of the S4Wiki (nyet's site). I don't recall specifically what on his site made me think this was necessary. Perhaps I'll go look at that and see... Anyway, the issue that I had was with a stuttering/jerking during partial load. After reading Rick's post I reset KFMIRL to stock and the stuttering went away. I've noticed no other affect from this change; just as his post suggests. |
