Title: Tuning N/A without MAF (ME 7.4.6)
Post by: MasterJJ406 on February 28, 2015, 02:44:27 PM
Hi all,
I have a car which has no MAF in Stock! (406 coupe 3.0 V6)
I would like to ask how Injection Time is calculated without MAF? (ti, te)
KRKTE * ??? * LAMBDA   (coarsely)

It has to be from IAT and MAP, but which map is related to this?
Maybe 1BA16 (20x12) in my Project (Axis Pressure/RPM)?
Or maybe only from KFMSNWDK, KFWDKMSN?

Thanks a lot for any help

My files:

I've changed camshaft and without right correction in basics..... my lambda numbers in KFLBS, LAMFA etc. are very useless and not accurate.

Thanks again

I would try changing  FKKVS till stft/ltft are in order..than lanfa and bts

If you only did switched the camshaft(s), then you may be able to get away with just modding FKKVS. I'm surprised your fueling is that off, though.

Thanks for reply
I am thinking about FKKVS but it's still just a correction factor.
Ideal - I want to get my ECU know that there is more air mass flow at higher RPMs.
Because without MAF ECU doesn't know it.

If ECU only uses KFMSNWDK, Why Angle ends at 70%? Where is WOT?

Camshaft and headers makes my AFR at WOT about 14-15.
Inverted at lower rpm and low Load richer AFR.

Thanks a lot

Does it have MAP sensor in manifold?

Yes it does

Thanks

Yes it does

Thanks

Then all those maps pointed out by the various people and yourself on here have nothing to do with how it calculates air charge.

Thanks for the reply
I know that is possible to calculate air density with IAT and MAP sensor and then with the throttle body position, pipe diameter and engine volume size you know your air charge. (theoretically)
But there have to be some factors or maps to determine accurate air charge.
For example with two different camshafts - at WOT ... MAP sensor = atmospheric pressure / IAT (same for both) but different air charge for each at random RPM.

I have custom made intake manifold prepared but without right correction its useless.

any idea what map or factors or way how air charge is exactly determined?

Thanks a lot for help

I know that is possible to calculate air density with IAT and MAP sensor and then with the throttle body position,

If the pressure sensor is POST throttle body...

Sensors in this order

Thanks
