Title: MED9.1 Help
Post by: dubs on March 02, 2015, 05:47:22 AM
Hi guys,

I have a golf GTI with med9.1 ecu, I have swapped the ecu over and the vehicle wont start because of the immobiliser. Now I have been doing some reading and have noticed the pin code needs to be turned off and the information is read via eeprom and is mirrored by the ram chip. Anyone know which tool I can use to do this? I have vw odis and vagcom and cannot communicate with the ecu using a third party app for immo off.

Any help would be appreicated

Cheers

Google on ebay?  How on earth do you do that?  ;P

Isn't it funny how the words "google" and "search" have become almost synonymous?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but, it is my understanding that you need a BDM to be able to overwrite the immo. i dont think mpps can, or a least the clone mpps cant for sure

MPPS reads the bootrom, but doesn't write it. Data only for write.

It usually comes with a CD. But the software and drivers are old and will only work in Windows XP (and maybe older Windows versions). I run mine in a Oracle VM Box (freeware).
