Title: Boost Issue Post by: New2Tune on July 15, 2011, 08:58:31 AM Hello awesome board working on my first tune for an MKIV GTI,
In order to get the boost up to 20lbs I have had to raise the max filling and target filling tables much higher than I would have initially thought, they are in the neighborhood of 300% is this normal? -or am I overcompensating for something else? The boost profile is fine but having to scale up target filling so much seems to make for a jerky/unreliable pedal. The boost related maps changed so far are Target filling, Max filling, Max compressor pressure ratio, and optimum engine torque. In your tunes to get 20lbs of boost do you end up having to raise from 170 some % filling all the way up to 300%?

Title: Re: Boost Issue Post by: Rick on July 16, 2011, 04:05:08 PM optimum engine torque is wrong. all you need to change is pressure ratio map, LDRXN, and requested load. This will get you your boost. Tune PID if it isn't getting there as quickly as it should
