Title: Polo 6n2 with 1.8t engine coversion + K04 help needed Post by: tonybig78 on March 27, 2015, 06:17:16 AM hi guys ive done a 1.8t conversion on a polo for a friend ..... with some help from you guys ive de immo it so car starts and kinda runs.
youtube videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xDsrP5gixY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RQCoT9Sn4I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLqwgJA-U6E Im getting few dtc i dont car here now but will post later but my main concern is that even with vehicle speed sensor connected im still getting a dtc. my questions are: will no speed signal affect the running of this engine? (seeing 0 as selcted gear in vcds) seems to bog and pop like crazy on gear shifts as you can hear in youtube video... ive heard me7.5 wideband has correction maps etc for selected gears Secondly will the brake pedal dtc cause a running issue?? Ive tried like 5 different ecus and so far only the ones with narrow band lambda seem to run ok but obviously id rather use a wideband ecu if possible also noticed that it doesnt have selected gear measuring block in vcds. Many thanks in advance! Title: Re: Polo 6n2 with 1.8t engine coversion + K04 help needed Post by: tonybig78 on April 03, 2015, 05:00:46 PM Ok ive made a lot of progress today...
I used VCDS measuring blocks to see if the cluster module was getting the signal from the gearbox speedo sensor (VSS) and it was but it was showing 0.0kph in the Engine module.... so after digging out the diagrams again I rechecked all the wiring and discovered that the output wire from the speedo/cluster to the ecu wasn't connected! No more pops or bangs during gear changes anymore! Title: Re: Polo 6n2 with 1.8t engine coversion + K04 help needed Post by: adam- on April 04, 2015, 08:15:06 AM What ECU are you using? If you're using a wideband loom, which you should be, unless you constructed a throttle cable for the 6n2 pedal box, you should be using a wideband ECU.
Then, what file are you using on the ECU - is it a file for a K04? |
