Title: Re: reading my me7.5 4b0906018cm issues Post by: gsfesz on April 06, 2015, 02:03:39 PM Attached is the picture of my ecu. i have a 2002 passat, fwd, awm, automatic transmission.
Would the file in this thread work for my car? http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=7315.0title= Title: Re: reading my me7.5 4b0906018cm issues Post by: vwaudiguy on April 06, 2015, 02:15:00 PM I saw that but wasnt exactly sure what it meant, what do i do to correct it? flash the stock file? do i have to do it in boot mode? What are you trying to correct? Title: Re: reading my me7.5 4b0906018cm issues Post by: gsfesz on April 06, 2015, 02:30:00 PM What are you trying to correct? I want to be able to have a stock file that i can properly read before i start tinkering. Title: Re: reading my me7.5 4b0906018cm issues Post by: nyet on April 06, 2015, 02:32:28 PM You should be able to flash over it with a stock file IF the ecu isn't physically modified.
You'll want to open it up to make sure. I started to scratch off that sticker.(thought my memory layout would be under there) Title: Re: reading my me7.5 4b0906018cm issues Post by: vwaudiguy on April 06, 2015, 04:03:55 PM You can read that in boot mode. Make a full backup of your ecu (flash chip, and e2p). 800bb would be your layout. Then flash a stock file on it, and go to town.

Im not interested in reading the file currently on the ecu anymore, would just like to get it back to stock so i have baseline. Can i flash the file i mentioned without going into boot mode? (flashing over obd in nefmoto)? Can i flash the file i mentioned without going into boot mode? (flashing over obd in nefmoto)? Maybe. Depends on the flash. Generally yes. If you have trouble, you can always bootmode it. Ok i will try flashing that file tomoroww, also do you have an xdf that will work with that file? Thanks Title: Re: reading my me7.5 4b0906018cm issues Post by: gsfesz on April 06, 2015, 04:32:57 PM And how do i absolutely make sure that is the correct file for my ecu before i flash?
