what would you guys use to read and write to 24C02 chips on me3.8 ecu's
i have seen a few option but wanted to know peeps prefered choice

So what is the trick to gettiGQ4x to read this thing. Mine acts like it is reading but never actually reads.

Me too, but basically any small and cheap eeprom reader should read/write easily. ICSP (in circuit serial programming) is other story.

Sometimes you just have to desolder. It happens.

I would say 99% of the time  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. In circuit those eeproms are really tricky.
