Title: SWAP VAG Bosch ME 7.1.1 ECU PLEASE HELP
Post by: R32VAG on May 06, 2015, 11:41:33 PM
Hello,

my bricked one is OE Number: 022906032CE

Can i use every 022906032 Number? So i can Clone the Flash Chip and the EEprom to the new one.
For example i want to buy a 022906032GJ. I think this is the same ecu. Explained the eprom and the eeprom. So can i use this ecu when i clone the eprom and eeprom data from the old one to the new one?

Have you tried bootmode and flashing another bin?

In reference to your original question, I believe if the Bosch number matches (ex. 0261207881) I think it should work. Not 100% on that though.

Im quite sure that you cannot use all ECU's with the Bosch number 022906032 as 1.8T's also has this number. The ECU must be of the same car (ie Golf 5 R32 manual). The letters dosen't have to be the same necessarily but would be preferred.

You are wrong:
 - ABC906032XY is not a Bosch number, it is VAG part number
 - 1.8T ME7.5 wideband ECUs are 06A906032
 - VR6 ECUs are 022906032

Ok i see about the Bosch number vs VAG part number, and also verified the 1.8T number. But the mk4 2.8 VR6 (4motion) also has a 022906032 ECU even though its a ME7.1 and not R32 ME7.1.1 so i still wouldnt buy just any ecu with the 022906032 number on it.

So my question was. Can i buy this ecu: 022906032KT (Its from a Audi TT with the SAME machinecode BUB.) Then i desolder the flash chip and immobilizer chip from my old ecu and installed it on the new ecu?

The later ST10 ME7 ecus cannot simply be crossflashed. If you can run the software that is on the ecu, then you can use the ecu. Otherwise, no, you should get an exact match (or a tool that can write the MPC content).

Are you referring to rom in primary or secondary ST10 cpu or both?

ST10 isn't read only.

You can change the processor content if you have the appropriate tools.
