Title: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? (Any stage) Post by: ricekikr on May 26, 2015, 07:42:55 PM Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file? Specifically one with a higher than 6800 rev limit, any stage tune.
Been trying to figure out which maps calculate rev limit. Tia :) Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? (Any stage) Post by: tjwasiak on May 27, 2015, 10:30:51 AM I would not say that maps calculate engine speed limit.
It should just be a constant (or maybe many constants) - just like it is in older (non-DBW) Motronic load based ECUs. Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? (Any stage) Post by: k0mpresd on May 27, 2015, 11:30:34 AM it is several constants.

I'll check the maf curve. Right now the revlimiter (or removal of) is using the nmax limiter with vss error. Could anyone point me in the speed limiter direction? The 557B 3.82 and 557P 5.92 doesn't have any map that has a 30x1 (even 5x1) with values of 6480 (A2) or 6800 (AA) Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? Both 5.92 (557P) and 3.82 (557T) has the rev-limiter after the MAF. The 3.82 (557B) seems to be different though. The 557P and 557T have similar 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 after the 256x1 map of the MAF then what looks like a 30x1 map. On the 557B it's two 16x1 maps with values of 40. It also looks like it's the speed limiter as well. It limits RPM to around 6500 at some parts of the map. This should equate to 130mph. ;D Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? Didn't find it at first, because I was using the m3.82 557B file (rev-limit isn't after the MAF gamut for 557B, it's located at 7DF0 after Zündwinkelfrühverstellung (AR) bei dnar>0 und tl>TLARUN) Rev-limiter now gone (well up to 10200) ;D Rev - Limiter Address (D02 557P file) 07AC2 - 30x1 map Thanks for the help guys. ;D Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? 557p values "AA A3 A3 A4 AA AA C8 C8 C8 C8 C8 C8 AA A5 A6 A6 AA AA AA AA AA AA AA AA AA A3 A3 A4 AA AA" I tried it first at a lower rpm (2500) to confirm it works. Then upped it 10200 monitoring afr/knock/ignition, gradually upping boost and rpm. Disclaimer: stock fuel/ignition/etc maps are only up to 6500-6800rpm. You need to tune them before upping rev limit. It'l still rev, but fuel/ignition/etc will be messed up. Also need valvesprings/valves/etc. Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? Wouldn't be possible without a full re-tune. Maf delete (but ecu still thinks there's a Maf and fuels accordingly) and 870cc injectors. Even without the piggyback it should still work. Piggyback just alters what it gets from the ecu. If ecu cuts fuel engine goes lean. If ecu cuts ignition engine misfires. When I removed the rev-limit i didn't even have to re-tune, ecu did not change fuel or ignition. Ecu fuel/ignition signal > piggyback alters signal > engine The only difference, in your case, is that you would have to alter the fuel and ignition maps that are past the current rev-limit. Winols has a partially defined map pack for a 3.82 that has a rev-limit map. The 30x1 map had a single value. Iirc it was a stage 1 map, it should give you an idea which maps you need to alter. Then should be a similar function for M383 and M592. Take a look, what do you think???

(Any stage) Post by: ricekikr on July 01, 2015, 04:12:33 AM I haven't tried all that you posted, just a few. Possibly those just point to the 30x1 Rev-limit map constant. The fully defined 3.82 file, on here, doesn't have the map for the 30x1 REV-limiter. Not all the 3.82/3.83/5.92 have it after the Maf Gamut, the values on it are similar.
I wonder why a lot on here say that the Rev-limit is calculated rather than a constant. Also had my doubts when I saw the 30x1 map. Then Kompressed (known tuner on here) mentioned that it had multiple constants. Confirmed this using the EVC/winols map pack. Hopefully there's a rev-limit for when the vehicle is standstill = launch control. And hopefully it uses ignition cut rather than fuel cut to limit (i think the speed limiter uses ignition cut over fuel cut, same AFR no acceleration) = Full Boost Launch Control if ignition cut. Did you check the limited map-pack from EVC/Winols for a 1.8t? It has the map location for the rev-limit map. Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? Ricekikr yes I saw the limited map-pack, I think it is for a 557T M382 file and also have the 30x1 rev limiter map of constants. I have revised the 557B M382 documented Damos and try to look and compare it with other ECU version M383 & M592. My first impression is that for M382, M383 and/or M592 location of constants are not the same, but in general seems to me that have the same operation way. Also some ignition cut, I think, is used for RPM limit operation. Please take a look to the excel file attached also take a look at constants in my previous post. There could be the logic used for RPM limit operation. Title: Re: Does anyone have a tuned AEB m5.92 file with higher rev limit? (Any stage) Post by: k0mpresd on December 22, 2015, 06:33:28 PM i dont believe this is a 30x1 map. i think its more in the 6x5 area and im on a quest for the proper axis as there must be an axis.
i thought it was gear 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 but that doesnt seem to be the case. |
