Title: Lambda Correction Factor is not working
Post by: tbm on May 27, 2015, 02:15:38 PM
Hi All,

I've removed rear O2 sensor and catalyst in my Audi A4 with 8E0909518AT ECU. The below constants were disabled but CF for idle and part. throttle are always 0. I've checked DTC there were not any. I have been trying found out for several days and it seems the root cause is CLRSHK and CLRSKA. I have not disabled these ones due to I can't find this.

So the question is - could it be that because of these const CF is not working?

Thanks in advance!

CWKONABG
CDSLS
CDKAT
CDHSH
CDHSHE
CDLATV
CDLASH
CDLSH

PS My .kp map file is attached maybe someone else will need this as well.

Hi, Did You sort it out ?

I have similiar problem in 8E ECU

ECU 8E0909518AS

I want to disable Catalyst heating, Ignition Retard and VVT overlap etc etc but setting CWKONABG to 0 disable lambda correction ...

This is what I did in my file, fuel trims are working no DTC. I don't have CAT,SAI pump,and second O2
And of course I modified ESKONF

It's ok
Leave it untouched or iirc set to  1

CWKONABG does not disable lambda correction. You're changing something wrong.

Funny thing is that for a test I grab the full stock file, then I changed only CWKONABG to 00 and the same results, it disable lambda regulation completly ..........

I dont like a way to disable something only with DTC's

For my perspective better is to disable things by Codewords , not Error Classes...

That's not what he said.

Anyway,

How its possible to CWKONABG at 0 disable lambda correction ;)

I tried in 4 cars seting CWKONABG to 0 and it does not disable lambda corection, are you sure your adress is right?
BDW. I know Codewords are not best opinion, but in some cases is enought

I met disabled O2 feedback, when there is particular DTC (around lambda,evap ect.) If so, solve them first and see if its help.  And, also, on some cars, after flash i must go drive a car, to start O2 feedback working immediately. Just stationary idle or reving is not enought. Weird, but its my experience.

Again. CWKONABG does NOT disable lambda correction!
Which means - you are not changing CWKONABG, your def is wrong.

And most likely not only CWKONABG.
You have a full a2l file for your ECU?

Or let me guess you downloaded a random xdf off the website and loaded it?

I have the same experience with 4B0906018DJ ecu
Checked with ida, compared to a2l project and no mistake here

IDK, I never had this problem with CWKONABG.
But then... I tune less ME7 cars per year than I have fingers these days, because they're too old.

If you are sure it kills your fuel trims, then just set it to 1.
But I think you have some other fault codes/issues on the car. If you fix those, CWKONABG to 0 might not kill your fueltrims anymore.

Anyone found solution to set CWKONABG = 0 , and working Lambda Correction? I'm with 8E09095018AS ECU, and setting it to 0 kills lambda correction! No codes , rear O2 and Cat coded out.

First restore all fault classes in your ECU. You most likely did not do code outs correctly.
CWKONABG is not responsible for working or non-working lambda correction. You are responsible by "coding out" things wrong, or you most likely changed something wrong.

As far as I remember, on 8E0909* there was no issue with it.

That said, there is no need to change CWKONABG to zero. If you want to disable SAI and cat heating just set FHOKH to a very high value.

Hi, thanks for the reply, changing FHOKH to FF FF solved my problem. I have not changed the error classes. I only changed the code words:
CDKAT / SP / SPF = 0
CWDLSAHK = 0
CDHSH = 0
CDHSHE = 0
CDLATV = 0
CDLASH = 0
CDLSH = 0
CLRSHK = 5
CLRSKA = 0
CWKONLS = 1
ESKONF- I removed the second oxygen probe, the SAI relay, and n112
MSLUB ALL 0
MSLBAS = 0.
I need to seriously read the documentation for me7.5

I am trying to figure out what turns off short fuel trims.
My focus is main on scenario where short fuel trims are higer over 15% than after some time ECU shut them off without DTC, after cycle ignition they are ON
Sometimes during tuning trims on LPG that annoying me, if it possible I want to turn it off or at least extend that time
