This is a DIY site.

The community B6 tune is a great base, just port the maps over to whatever bin you decide to use.

I agree with MadCow... The community B6 project is all you need to follow for the results you want. Get a copy of TunerPro and go to town. Sure just flashing some random tune takes less time but you end up not knowing what has been changed. My first random flashed stage 1 from here had timing for WMI for example. I'm surprised I didn't grenade my stock engine. You don't either I'm sure.

Follow the prevailing wisdom and DIY. The community projects have made it almost simple compared to sifting through threads and putting all the info together yourself.

DDillinger was kind enough to provide an .xdf for the 018DQ in this thread: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=7408.msg68505#msg68505

Set up TunerPro so you can use a keyboard shortcut with ME7check and ME7sum and you will be quite happy I think.

The B6 A4 and B5.5 Passat files are VERY similar. In the case of the 518BC file the only differences are calibration. You are in a very good position to just copy the B6 community changes in using my xdf.

Welcome, and good luck.

You must. It is not optional if unsure about flash tool to have this capability.
