Title: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 08, 2015, 05:01:44 PM I changed a lot. It is my first attempt at putting it all together. single 02 630cc injectors. im sure there is errors so don't try to flash it anyone
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: nyet on June 08, 2015, 05:10:34 PM What, exactly, are you asking for? Somebody to checksum the file for you (which you shouldn't need), or to check your tuning (which means it doesn't belong in this forum).
You DID read the sticky for this forum before posting, right? Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 08, 2015, 05:49:51 PM I did read it. and I have the program up and running. however just the last day and today it wont run checks even on files I have ran threw before. I am asking for some one to put it threw a working version of checksum or even take a look at it I guess. I didn't steal anything I sat with wiki and tuner pro to make my adjustments. and I even changed the bank one 02 to read off the b2 o2 in hex pro. I'm new to this if you couldn't tell. If you don't want to do it don't. but just know i'm trying to learn. all of your posts to me have been negative. I don't think you set out to be a dick but take a look at them i'm not trying to jerk. I am nervous as I have already bricked my ecu once and I just want to make sure I don't do it again
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: nyet on June 08, 2015, 05:56:54 PM And you can't be bothered to cut and paste what you are trying to do with ME7Check or ME7Sum?
You know, so we can help you DO THIS ON YOUR OWN instead of begging people to do the work for you? There is a reason I have been short with you. If you look back through YOUR OWN POSTS you will see the pattern. Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: nyet on June 08, 2015, 05:59:50 PM Code: ME7Tool (v1.0.2-11-gf0e6) [Management tool for Bosch ME7.x firmwares] Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 08, 2015, 06:08:28 PM its telling me me7check is not recognized as a internal or external command operable program or batch file. im sure I can google the problem. ill even reload it on the comp because it was working good. but i'm not asking for a tune. however I am asking for piece of mind. and i'm sure I'll run it checksum multiple times. as I am nervous. and believe it or not its a lot to take in all at once.
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 08, 2015, 06:26:51 PM Well thank you for that. Let it not go unsaid that this fourm kick ass. The time and research you guys have put into this is and the outcome of this incredible. Guess I got more work to do.
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: Murph on June 08, 2015, 06:36:09 PM In regards to me7sum and me7check, "not working".. Sounds like your just not using it/passing the arguments correctly...
Check my signature for a friendly GUI for me7sum and me7check. 8) Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 08, 2015, 07:04:33 PM I have me 7 check and ulitmto how ever you spell it. I keep trying to check them threw both and now either file will not work. The stock m .bin or my tuned file. Trust me I have tryed. I do have the programs. Thanks for the link. I'll give it a try. But even if I get a file to pass threw there is wrong to post it up here to have someone that
Knows way more than I ever will about tunning a car look at it???? I'm always open for critiquing. Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: Murph on June 08, 2015, 07:12:45 PM Your doing something wrong. I just ran your .bin file through the GUI utility, found 7 errors, corrected ALL of them, and then checked the corrected .bin and found no errors.
Just use my GUI utility since whatever you have, you either don't know how to use or doesn't work, I'm attaching it and your corrected .bin file to this post. //In regards to checking your "tuning" in general.. Make a thread for it or something (in the n00b section), people will most likely not just sift through your whole tune to "check" it for you. You'll have to be specific about what you touched and what your not sure of or want confirmation on. You need to learn how the command line works http://dosprompt.info/ http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chusedos.htm http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000598.htm http://www.cs.princeton.edu/courses/archive/spr05/cos126/cmd-prompt.html Don't randomly copy files to places w/o a full understanding of what you are doing. Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 09, 2015, 03:46:38 AM Thanks murph for GUI it worked great. I rember my old dos computers. I have forgot a lot about it but that was a good refresher so thanks for that nynet. I ran the file threw it and corrected it. So the next step is flashing it to my car??? I'll apologise again for being a noon. And a little fast to post stuff. I'm deffently more of a hands on learner
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: Murph on June 09, 2015, 05:16:31 AM It sounds like your extremely fuzzy on the whole process... I really wouldn't be touching .bin files and trying to flashing if you don't have a good grip on it yet... Especially if you blindly made some big changes to tables. You could really mess some things up.
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 09, 2015, 05:49:55 AM Right on. I am a little fuzzy. I understand the basics. And I'm going by the wiki. I sat with tuner pro and just went step by step. I have a wideband and some logging to do. But I'm not making blind changes. And im not just throwing numbers in there. I am trying to understand every Feild I touch. But I am sure it won't be perfect the first time. So what do I do??? Nothing is not going to get me very far. I know your trying to help but I understand more than you know that I have a lot to learn.
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: Murph on June 09, 2015, 07:52:48 AM Welp, then if your sure the checksum is corrected. Throw it on and start logging. See what happens. Only way your going to learn and see if the changes worked. From there, if something isn't quite right, post up a log and ask for some help on how to interpret/fix the issues.
Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 09, 2015, 08:21:53 AM I know the checksum you posted corrected the errors. When I ran that corrected file threw again it said it was good. Do you think I'm better off making one or two changes at a time then flashing and seeing how everything goes. Also how trust worthy is the checksum???? I know you cant give me an esact awnser but I really don't want to brick my ecu again. Thanks for time.

It's like a 99% chance to be good.. Nyet may say that's less, but you're probably fine. And yes, small changes would be advisable. Title: Re: can some one verify this .bin Post by: jimmer009 on June 09, 2015, 01:23:34 PM Thanks. I'll do small changes at first. I wrote everything down on paper
