Title: a3 3.2 no programming and turbo?
Post by: Mikhail on June 20, 2015, 07:34:28 AM
I'm  installing turbo, and thinking that what to do with the wastegate. No program yet, so leave wastegate open or what?

Do not leave it not connected. You should connect it to boost source so it would not exceed pressure set by actuator spring.

I am afraid even with wastegate stuck open you can see some low boost level so I would not drive it without proper software/injectors/MAF setup.

And good luck finding someone who makes it run properly also.
You can count the amount of people who can do it on your fingers.

WG should be connected directly to turbo inlet, but it will never reach this boost, you will get throttle cut all the time.

Turbo installed and did drive carefully, boost is about 0.2bar. As soon as the pressure starts to buld the engine starts to knock, not logged yet just hearing windows down. Clone mpps arrived, should start to bricking the ecu, was it that st10c167 only bootmode?

Im currently running 3.2 Me7.1.1G ECU with GT35 turbo boosting 0.7bar on E85 Stock compression.

And also i want to add that this engine with turbo is a dream so i can understand why people struggle with this.. 3.2liter VR6 Turbo is a wet dream for many.. and the sound is more than any other VAG car... even the I5 :P lolololo
