Title: Hesitation at WOT and lean spot, RS4 551k Post by: nomad on July 06, 2015, 02:18:22 PM ello!
Need help from some more experienced me7'ers on what to log to diagnose my car. Lately ive been having a hesitation that can be felt pretty good at around 3k rpms. My WB lambda probe seems to have gone bad, havent used it since the car was tuned for like 2.5 years ago so cant se actual AFR but did a log with o2 sensor's included and it looks like I have a very leanspot from the rpm range where I can feel the hesitation.. After 3k rpm it recovers according to o2 sesnor and pulls very smooth to redline so I dont think fuel pump? And injector DC at 50%.. Any ideas what to log next? I hear you, should have been more specific in the OP, but Ive been running this tune for the past 2.5 years with all the same hardware and its been running great. This is something that started recently.. Its Rick on here that tuned it for me. The requested lambda 1.. I dont know. But it has been running great with this file so i was thinking its something wrong hardware-wise.. check plugs, coilpacks, ICMs etc. this is a super common problem. So you Think its running lean due to the misfires? Ok will check. Car has TFSI coils conversion so ICMs are gone. Title: Re: Hesitation at WOT and lean spot, RS4 551k Post by: nyet on July 06, 2015, 03:56:20 PM So you Think its running lean due to the misfires? Unused o2... "running" is the wrong word. "reading" lean due to misfires, which might be due to lean running (two completely different questions) Title: Re: Hesitation at WOT and lean spot, RS4 551k Post by: nomad on July 06, 2015, 04:20:32 PM Unused o2... "running" is the wrong word. "reading" lean due to misfires, which might be due to lean running (two completely different questions) Yes I was asking what you meant, if you thought it was running lean or reading lean :) It doesent feel like misfires in this case, the hesitation is too "soft" for a misfire. So I would think the misfires would be due to lean running (if it misfires). Im wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what might cause the lean running that I would be able to log..
