due to lack of attention over here: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=8617.0title= i created this noob thread. We have 98ron fuel here and the car is my daily driver. Its a 1.8t converted to 2liter with K04-064 turbo from the S3 8P. (3 inch from turbo with 100cpsi cat) How should the boost on a wot run look like to NOT kill the turbo? But it is also known to surge on the 2.0 TFSIs between 3000-4000rpm. So keep that in mind when doing the mapping. E.g. APR keep the boost below 1.3bar under 4000rpm and then raise the boost above. Usually the most powerfull K04-064 run about 1.7-1.8 bar.
But beware of the stock rods in the 1.8t and do the 5120 hack if you want to run that kind of boost. Title: Re: Boost Profile Post by: adam- on July 20, 2015, 06:43:17 AM He's got rods, so it's fine. Surge is true, I've got it between 3 and mid 4k. After that, it's surge free and holding 26 psi until around 5.5k.
