Title: Does the ECU store VIN# info? Post by: AudiA4_20T on August 08, 2011, 06:51:17 AM So this is something that I don't know has ever been addressed on here, and I wanted to see what the consensus was. Does the ECU store VIN# info?

Post by: Tony@NefMoto on September 06, 2011, 12:11:43 PM North American B5 S4s have zeros in the serial eeprom chip where the VIN number would be stored. Also, when the VIN is stored in the ECU, it is not stored in the flash memory, just in the serial eeprom.
