Title: LOAD values in MAP sites interpretation
Post by: eliotroyano on August 09, 2015, 12:51:53 PM
Hi friends. How do you correlate or interpretate load values seen in logs with it associtated site in Bosch Motronic Maps.
For example, KFZW in ME7xx:
(https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/ab4c/vq8x7uls2l4iip64g.jpg) (http://www.mediafire.com/view/vq8x7uls2l4iip6/KFZW_ME7xx.JPG)
Where do you locate a LOAD value of 95%, in 90% LOAD site or in 100% LOAD site???????

And for  KFZW in M38x:
(https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/706f/frk68f88zm6zcp34g.jpg) (http://www.mediafire.com/view/frk68f88zm6zcp3/KFZW_M38x.JPG)
Where do locate a LOAD value of 7,5ms, in 7ms LOAD site or in 8ms LOAD site????????

My doubt is how does the ECU extrapolate engine load values per map site???? I other words:
1) for ME7xx are load values from 95% to 105% part of 100% site, or are values from 90%-99% part of 90% load site?
2) for M38x are load values from 7,5ms to 8,5ms part of 8ms load site or values from 7ms to 7,99ms part of 7ms load site?

Sorry to post a dumb question but this little question was around my mind and I was looking for precise question without not much luck.

Thanks for quote that info. At first I thought that Motronic maps would use linear interpolation, but knowing the exponential shape of Bosch MAF transfer functions, maps could use polinomial interpolation too. What do you suggest?

Linear interpolation, no extrapolation.

Linear interpolation, no extrapolation.

Thanks for that!!!!!   :)  :)  :)
