Title: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5
Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 16, 2015, 09:17:47 AM
Hello.. Discovered that I have been driving around for years with DTC on my EVAP. Its an 1.8T A4 2000.

Ive read the Wiki but i cant understand what this mean? Are they supposed to be set to = 0 to delete the EVAP valve ?

CDLDP - Eurobyte - LDP Diagnosis
CDTES - Eurobyte - EVAP diagnosis
CLATEVE - EVAP plug
CLALDPE - LDP plug

Fix the issue. Stop treating removing error classes as a fix.

The car is so custom that i have removed all those parts from the car. Only thing i have left is the valve hanging in the connector.

Then yes, that's how you remove them! :)

AFAIK they need to just be set to 0 yes.

As you have them disconnected, you'll also need to look at ESKONF.

In that case, do as much as you can through ESKONF first.

Thank you im gonna take a look at that..
This is my old Project car from 2010 and back then i didnt know much how Boch Me7 worked. I thought all i needed was to have the solenoid connected to the harness.  Discovered couple days ago that i had this code active lol..

It ruins fuel trims if you leave them disconnected.

If you need a hand finding ESKONF, post your file and we'll help.  It's really not hard though, the Wiki documents it well.

Okej.. So they work if they are just connected to the solenoid..  Hmm.. maybe i have connected the solenoid to wrong connector? I should get opencircuit code then aswell shouldnt I ?  I thougth Me7 also checked if the gases from tank changes the Lmmbda at idel to make a check?

You'll get an incorrect flow for one I'm sure.  Man, just rip them out and code them out properly, its not hard..

Start with ESKONF, not error class codeouts

ESKONF = DEKON?  Is this some kind of hardware configuration in the Me7 ?

I did a 032HN only with ESKONF lately.

N249 and N112 removed :)

Problem is that i cant find where ESKONF is ?

How have you tried to find it? It's literally posted in blind detail all over this site, and its Wiki.  Took me 30 seconds to find it in a mates car the other day, and I'm still a "noob"..

If you search the Wiki, it tells you where ESKONF is in relation to other maps.  Use the standard 3 bit pairs to search just slightly above the MASSIVE map that is below it, and go from there.

Correct me if im wrong..  If i Disable an driver stage "output" (Endstufe) The ECU ignores the diagnosis aswell? Or does this just remove Opecirciut code ?

I believe it does both. Basically you are configuring the ecu hardware-wise using software to tell it that particular system is not present.

Today the errors came back :D
17608 P1200-35-00
16795 P0411-35-00

So it looks like "only eskonf" does not work.

Is the hardware disconnected?

Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5

yes.

from the file:
AA FF 00 30 FF F8 30
is now
AA FF 00 30 FF FB FC

Quote
Byte 5= NC NC EKP SLP
Byte 6= ULT UAGR SLV NWS

Byte 5=11111000
Byte 6=00110000
is now
Byte 5=11111011
Byte 6=11111100

So i changed SLP in Byte 5 and ULT and SLV in Byte 6.

Quote
SLP=J299 SAI PUMP RELAY
ULT/LDUVS=N249 Schubumluftventil
SLV=N112 SAI RELAY

What am i missing?

For SAI, MSLUB needs to be set to 0 too?

CDSLS = 0?
MSLUB/MSLBAS = 0?

Thx i will try.

I was under the impression that ESKONF is kind of a "config" to tell the ecu what is installed.
Looks like this is not enough.
