Title: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 16, 2015, 09:17:47 AM Hello.. Discovered that I have been driving around for years with DTC on my EVAP. Its an 1.8T A4 2000.
Ive read the Wiki but i cant understand what this mean? Are they supposed to be set to = 0 to delete the EVAP valve ? CDLDP - Eurobyte - LDP Diagnosis CDTES - Eurobyte - EVAP diagnosis CLATEVE - EVAP plug CLALDPE - LDP plug Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: nyet on August 16, 2015, 10:14:47 AM Fix the issue. Stop treating removing error classes as a fix.
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 17, 2015, 06:29:56 AM The car is so custom that i have removed all those parts from the car. Only thing i have left is the valve hanging in the connector.
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: adam- on August 17, 2015, 06:35:11 AM Then yes, that's how you remove them! :)
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: spacey3 on August 17, 2015, 06:47:22 AM AFAIK they need to just be set to 0 yes.
As you have them disconnected, you'll also need to look at ESKONF. Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: nyet on August 17, 2015, 10:07:53 AM The car is so custom that i have removed all those parts from the car. Only thing i have left is the valve hanging in the connector. In that case, do as much as you can through ESKONF first. Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 18, 2015, 01:03:39 AM Thank you im gonna take a look at that..
This is my old Project car from 2010 and back then i didnt know much how Boch Me7 worked. I thought all i needed was to have the solenoid connected to the harness. Discovered couple days ago that i had this code active lol.. Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: adam- on August 18, 2015, 01:37:06 AM It ruins fuel trims if you leave them disconnected.
If you need a hand finding ESKONF, post your file and we'll help. It's really not hard though, the Wiki documents it well. Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 18, 2015, 03:34:03 AM Okej.. So they work if they are just connected to the solenoid.. Hmm.. maybe i have connected the solenoid to wrong connector? I should get opencircuit code then aswell shouldnt I ? I thougth Me7 also checked if the gases from tank changes the Lmmbda at idel to make a check?
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: adam- on August 18, 2015, 03:39:44 AM You'll get an incorrect flow for one I'm sure. Man, just rip them out and code them out properly, its not hard..

I´ll try that Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 19, 2015, 12:33:24 PM Cant Find them? Should be under DLDP?

Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 19, 2015, 12:52:11 PM I found some info in the wiki about it..
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 19, 2015, 01:08:08 PM ESKONF = DEKON? Is this some kind of hardware configuration in the Me7 ?
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: aef on August 19, 2015, 11:53:49 PM I did a 032HN only with ESKONF lately.
N249 and N112 removed :) Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 20, 2015, 03:20:57 AM Problem is that i cant find where ESKONF is ?
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: adam- on August 20, 2015, 03:25:11 AM How have you tried to find it? It's literally posted in blind detail all over this site, and its Wiki. Took me 30 seconds to find it in a mates car the other day, and I'm still a "noob"..
If you search the Wiki, it tells you where ESKONF is in relation to other maps. Use the standard 3 bit pairs to search just slightly above the MASSIVE map that is below it, and go from there. Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 20, 2015, 10:40:47 PM Ok I thought it was a sub category to something. Im gonna make a search again on ESKOF and se how I can find it. Thanks for answer
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 21, 2015, 08:09:34 AM Correct me if im wrong.. If i Disable an driver stage "output" (Endstufe) The ECU ignores the diagnosis aswell? Or does this just remove Opecirciut code ?
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: vwaudiguy on August 21, 2015, 12:11:54 PM Correct me if im wrong.. If i Disable an driver stage "output" (Endstufe) The ECU ignores the diagnosis aswell? Or does this just remove Opecirciut code ? I believe it does both. Basically you are configuring the ecu hardware-wise using software to tell it that particular system is not present. Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: Jim_Coupe on August 22, 2015, 10:48:52 AM Ahh smart.. Im from the PLC programming world.. now it makes sense to me :) :o

Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: adam- on September 01, 2015, 03:50:52 AM Is the hardware disconnected?
Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: aef on September 01, 2015, 05:41:47 AM yes.

Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: narf0815 on September 03, 2015, 01:37:31 AM CDSLS = 0?
MSLUB/MSLBAS = 0? Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: aef on September 03, 2015, 02:00:50 AM Thx i will try.
I was under the impression that ESKONF is kind of a "config" to tell the ecu what is installed. Looks like this is not enough. Title: Re: EVAP delete.. 1.8T m7.5 Post by: adam- on September 03, 2015, 04:40:51 AM Check out the Wiki dude, MSLUB needs done too! :)
