Title: 2011 Volvo c30 T5 - ECU:ME9
Post by: ugan.git on August 29, 2015, 12:26:17 PM
Hi All,

This is my first post. After a bit of googling, It seems that the ME9 Ecu gets tuned via the BDM and not OBD2.

My question is; Is it not possible to flash the ME9 via OBD2? Elevate has a handheld unit that uses the  OBD2 port for ECU flashing.

As a Noob, I would prefer using a cable as compared to stripping the ECU-BDM proces.

Thanks,

Ugan

It is possible, but protocol is not public anywhere.

All public tools are slaves, you have to use their tunes.

So for you if you want to use your own tune: no.
Must use BDM.

Volvo flash with OBD2 so yeah its possible, but as Daniel said it's all closed source, and EXPENSIVE :) Or you can make your own tool much work.
