Title: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ktm733 on August 31, 2015, 10:28:06 PM i delted the cat and rear o2 but the code still comes up? what am I missing?
Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: sweegie on September 01, 2015, 01:58:19 AM Have you physically removed the rear o2 sensors? If so, there's a whole bunch of other things you need to change.
The 367724 bin you posted needs patched to remove the tuner protection load limiters, else you will throw a P0601 code every week. I'd also look at going richer in LAMFA too, as 0.9 is too lean IMO. Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ktm733 on September 01, 2015, 07:36:24 AM not removing the o2's fueling as I don't want to get into the power configuration as this is just a simple stage 1. It's straight pipe so he has everything plugged in yet I delted codes and the code is still there?
also on the fueling note, are you talking about in the early onset of boost it's to lean? also 0 knock was encountered, should I still rich en it up? This is my first time hearing of this tuner protection thing? I will scan it today to see if that code came up but I use ecufix and it says 0 checksum errors? Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: sweegie on September 01, 2015, 01:22:32 PM I think the hot side of the turbo is quite restrictive, so I run richer primarily to get EGT down. Not sure on what's causing the cat monitoring problem though if the O2 sensors are still plugged in - I was pretty confident about that location, but I can certainly check again. What's the exact code that's being triggered?
You'll know when the P0601 code arrives, as it will cut max load to 100 and trip the MIL light. Only a full ecu reset will clear this (power off / hard reboot) and the code's not stored in the eeprom. This is specific to the 367724 style of RS6 binary, isn't present in earlier RS6 software and is triggered when load is increased above standard. You need a patch in the binary to fix it, or use an earlier software version. The injectors run out before the turbos do. Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ktm733 on September 02, 2015, 11:17:55 AM Okay I'll back it done and change fueling, but still why codes for cat?
Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ddillenger on September 02, 2015, 01:50:09 PM Okay I'll back it done and change fueling, but still why codes for cat? You haven't posted a code. If you have one, I doubt it's for catalyst efficiency. Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ktm733 on September 02, 2015, 04:29:42 PM Well the checksum code just popped up :(.. You weren't kidding.
erased codes drove it and no o2 codes yet. Now to tackle this checksum code problem. I have a bin from another rs6 which never received this code. That's why I've never heard of this. Can I flash this car with this file I have included? Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ktm733 on September 02, 2015, 04:30:57 PM Also here is the original rs6 bin from the car I am working on
Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: nyet on September 02, 2015, 04:56:44 PM You haven't posted a code Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ddillenger on September 02, 2015, 06:39:59 PM Well the checksum code just popped up :(.. That's why I've never heard of this. Can I flash this car with this file I have included? I want to yell at you. I had a big rant typed up. Please, stop what you are doing. That file makes it obvious you do not understand what you are doing. Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: nyet on September 02, 2015, 06:52:36 PM I'm jealous you reset his smite count but not mine.
Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ddillenger on September 02, 2015, 07:00:03 PM I'm jealous you reset his smite count but not mine. I can't even do that. I assumed you did. Some sort of, forgiveness system. lol. Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ktm733 on September 02, 2015, 07:26:01 PM I'm learning? So i have some research to do. once again I don't claim to be pro tuner. I'm just trying to learn one day at a time. Today I learn rs6 have coding to stop from being tuned. How do you learn things in life? Does it come natural? This isn't a bash... Thank you guys for the info about this coding issue.

Does the owner know you are learning on his car? Title: Re: rs6 cdkat problem Post by: ktm733 on September 03, 2015, 07:43:50 AM So here is my revised bin, what do you guys think about fueling now? I even lowered boost. I didn't have to touch timing as there was no knock encountered. I'm ready for the beat down ;D
