Title: Remove immobilizer from revo tuned ECU? Post by: slappynuts on September 12, 2015, 10:43:14 AM Anyone see any problems with this (besides revo sucks ;D ).
Title: Re: Remove immobilizer from revo tuned ECU? Post by: slappynuts on September 20, 2015, 09:28:31 AM So after reading all the conflicting info on this it looks like the only way to do this is to reflash the cluster with the bin from the cluster it was originally matched to. Am I wrong?
Title: Re: Remove immobilizer from revo tuned ECU? Post by: SB_GLI on September 20, 2015, 11:02:37 AM what are you trying to accomplish? You can disable the immo on the 95040 eeprom and write it back to the chip in bootmode. use the argdub 95040 tool to read and write.

It looks like they are blocking me from bootmode so I will just R+R the 95040 and give it a try. Worst case scenario I will flash both chips back to stock and tune the car.

Post by: slappynuts on September 27, 2015, 07:50:43 PM Wonder why I am not able to get this one to work. I will try a little more time grounding the pin.
Title: Re: Remove immobilizer from revo tuned ECU? Post by: slappynuts on September 30, 2015, 04:19:20 PM Standard off worked on this ECU. There was a lot of add crap on the 95040 file though. If someone wants to see it I can post it, or not.
Title: Re: Remove immobilizer from revo tuned ECU? Post by: slappynuts on October 03, 2015, 12:15:05 PM Car has a P1681. It looks like it is time to flash it back to stock and start over.
Title: Re: Remove immobilizer from revo tuned ECU? Post by: itsalive13 on October 27, 2015, 03:30:33 PM Wouldn't mind seeing what was on it. I have heard Revo mess around with immo to prevent other people getting in there.
I did come across an ME3.8.3 AGU ecu the other day that wouldn't let me flash a new map on. Turns out the immo delete done by someone else was such a butcher job that it was preventing writing. Title: Re: Remove immobilizer from revo tuned ECU? Post by: hwessel on December 10, 2015, 01:24:15 AM hi
Most of the tuners changes the seed value to prevent the flash being readed by obd, this also prevents other security access since all are seed based. For edc16 you can use the bdm to read the hole flash+cpu+eep. Boot can be repaired to undone this mess, allowing the ecu to work as designed keeping the tuned. Also immo can be disabled on eeprom as someone told. If you reflash original file you will lose the tune, also, could be possible that you need to write original file by bdm, since obd is blocked. I just manually married it to the car it was going in with skc and immo id. Works everytime since every car that they flash is going to have different info there
