Remember that chamber gets hot really fast. Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: slappynuts on September 14, 2015, 08:27:21 AM Thank you sir, this is what I have been missing.

FKSTT_1_A - Faktor Cold Start Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: slappynuts on September 14, 2015, 02:15:30 PM Probably right next to the cold start
Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: slappynuts on September 14, 2015, 02:16:24 PM It seems there are quite a few people having the same issue with E85. this is your answer.
Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: slappynuts on September 14, 2015, 02:23:28 PM Looks like there are 4 of them and they are temp based. Bump them all by 20% I guess and see how it goes.
Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: slappynuts on September 14, 2015, 11:29:09 PM After letting the car cool down and get a good cold start, this was exactly what was needed. TY very much for the info.

Did you end up sticking with 20% more? Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: slappynuts on September 27, 2015, 10:01:36 AM I went 20% more and it helped a lot. It still needs more, but I have not had time to get back to working on my own car ;D
Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: ddillenger on September 27, 2015, 10:48:16 AM Consider the temperature at which ethanol will vaporize. Consider that until that point your engine is only capable of burning 15 percent of the injected fuel.
Then modify the map. Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Post by: masterj on September 28, 2015, 10:55:26 PM Consider the temperature at which ethanol will vaporize. Consider that until that point your engine is only capable of burning 15 percent of the injected fuel. Then modify the map. At what temperature ethanol will start to vaporize? Or you're saying when it will completely vaporize? Sorry, I'm not a chemistry guy :) BTW found this: (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/79/EtOHvaporpressureL.png) (Ethanol vapor pressure vs temperature) Title: Re: Cranking fuel? Anyway - Ethanol vaporises at + 12degC |
