Title: Golf MK4 VDO clusters - Immobilizer adapted (6) Vs Immobilizer new (4) status
Post by: Owdi on November 04, 2015, 04:33:58 PM
Guys,

Noob question. I'm not unfamiliar with coding Golf MK4 VDO clusters to cars and getting them up and running, but had a difficult one recently that wouldn't code up using standard procedure on VCDS, I had to edit the dump to enter the SKC and immo ID and then use VCDS to code the keys in.

I didn't pay attention to it at the time, but I was wondering can/does the immobilizer status (adapted 6 or new 4) make a big difference when coding clocks into cars, can this status prevent the standard VCDS procedure from working?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the 6 or 4, but where is the Immo ID stored in a normal VDO cluster?
