Title: Hello from the UK!
Post by: RelentlessDan on November 09, 2015, 03:17:35 PM
Hello all,

Just a little introduction post from me...

I'm Dan, a 20-year old from Portsmouth (UK). I'm an aerospace engineer by trade, dealing with electrical circuitry daily - but no previous experience with automobile ECU's!

I have joined NefMoto with the intention of flashing a friends map onto my ECU. Our hardware is now identical, so I want to pinch his map and save myself a small fortune.

Nice to meet you all and thanks for your help in advance.

Dan :)

Just to reiterate on a different thread, cross-flashing is NOT recommended.

You don't know what changes have been made to his file because you've not got a clue how to interpret it.

Just because you've got a 1.8t does not mean that you can flash any 1.8t file on.  It doesn't work like that.  There's too much running going on in here, and not enough crawling.
