Hope this helps someone but iv found a easier way to do Launch control in the edc16 instead of using the drivers wish maps this method is similar to the edc15 method.

To find the map axis search for a 10x10 map by searching in dec 16bit HiLo

by looking at the 0 km/h column from 2700rpm to 5000rpm set the torque to 0nm like so (or edit the speed and rpm and torque to your desire)

In the map pack the map name is "Ersatzwert bei endgültigem CAN Fehler in Abhängigkeit von Eng_nAvrg und VSSCD_v"

 I have no problems to share information on this ECU because here in Italy is widespread but would serve at least one file to be able to watch all the same ..

ok ... I was able to upload a file
in this file at 0E0FFA find maps of the relationship V / n just bring the top of the first gear ratio to 200 decimal points edit window between the first and second gear 500 points to -500 and change the ratio of the upper second gear also putting in 200 decimal points but then move to the torque limiter for the first march of this file is to 0E11EA and modify it according to how many laps you want the motor vehicle is hung on starting ..
There is also a third way to activate the launch where you change the driver wish for neutral gear which in this file is aa 0D1A3C eliminating completely the map you laps you want to start the launch
punda in this file where the map that you said to activate the launch with your method?

Munro if you could post an example instead of addresses  that would help since addresses change from Map to map. Thanks for your contribution.

as promised attach these 2 Screen launch control on edc16u1 in the first you can see the changes to the relationship V / n in the second screen you can see the change of the torque limiter for the first gear just ... I can also place the launch via driver wish ...

I have try it on EDC16U (VW Touareg) but  not work

it didn´t work for me on a seat leon 2.0 tdi 140 (bkd) edc16...
