Title: Similar Definitions for Similar ECU? Post by: stickman007 on December 17, 2015, 02:42:58 PM Hi there, 1st time post.
I haven't got around to pulling my map yet (based on VCDS 2002 Audi TT 225 8N0906018AN), just learning and researching at this point. Am I correct to assume that all 8N0906018 ECU are similar in their definitions? My ultimate goal is just a simple SAI delete. A few 018 maps that I've looked at seems to have either 0 or 1 leading me to suspect that its the right address? Please educated me!! Izzy Title: Re: Similar Definitions for Similar ECU? The software version number is whats important. would recommend to read your file open it with me7check or winols and check it try to find a well defined software version for example there is a damos megapack with lots of stuff there should be a fully defined 018cb and a 018j aswell Title: Re: Similar Definitions for Similar ECU? I was really hoping that all the 8N0906018 ecu would have similar definitions! I was able to compare a 018CB for sure and a few others. (fully defined - but hard to locate because all in German). I've been using WinOLS demo just to play around. I'm having trouble pulling my current map. I've read somewhere that it is because I have APR stage 1 tune. I'm going to try to pull it with Galletto 1260 instead of using nefmoto? I watched a few youtube video where the guy was explaining how to search for maps by looking for the 2D/3D patterns and using WinOLS possible map for EGR. Also how the hex dump can give away the axis and size of the map. Can anybody shed some light as to what I'm looking for when searching for SAI delete? So far all I know is that I need to find MSLUB and set it to 0. But since the AMU engine with the 018AN ecu is so rare, its tough to find any examples to learn from. Most ecu comparison chart don't even list the engine or the ecu. Izzy Title: Re: Similar Definitions for Similar ECU? The rest of the docs are great. Title: Re: Similar Definitions for Similar ECU? Post by: stickman007 on December 19, 2015, 02:22:43 PM Thanks guys!
I found that the wiki on this site was really helpful in understanding how the ecu operates for the SLS and other functions. Steep learning curve in understanding how it all comes together. Hope someday I can contribute to the knowledge rather than just taking. Izzy |
