Title: Advice on a MBC Tuned JHM RS6r Car Post by: AudiSportB5S4 on December 21, 2015, 08:49:45 AM Hi there,
Helping a buddy log his JHM RS6r car. The car is set up with rods, supertech valvetrain components and 1mm over exhaust valves. Downpipes, big exhaust, and running a MBC in standalone. We are seeing an issue (logging with ME7l) that in 2nd gear he is getting the 28psi he wants and when that happens in the logs I can see the N75 DC is up in the 90s (even though it isn't playing a role in boost regulation) but in 3rd around 4500-5k rpm we start losing boost and it tapers down to limp mode. As this is happening, his N75 DC goes and locks @ 10%. He then gets a soft code for boost deviation (neg). Any thoughts on what causes OK 2nd gear performance and then 3rd this is happening as stated above? Before sending a log to JHM we were hoping to get a clean run in of third gear from 2k to 6600 rpm. (btw, I can post the logs later just at work now) Thank you, Title: Re: Advice on a MBC Tuned JHM RS6r Car Post by: prj on December 21, 2015, 10:37:59 AM The issue it has an mbc.
If your tuner puts an mbc on the car, get a proper tuner. Title: Re: Advice on a MBC Tuned JHM RS6r Car Post by: nyet on December 21, 2015, 11:53:01 AM "MBC tuned" is an oxymoron.

Anyway, I think he'll be re-tuning the car. The service he's getting from their tech mail isn't worth anything. Title: Re: Advice on a MBC Tuned JHM RS6r Car Post by: nyet on December 21, 2015, 12:41:32 PM Until you get logs with no MBC, they're worthless :)
