Title: Writing 95040 issue 8n0906018h Post by: monk-e on January 11, 2016, 12:52:23 PM Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble getting argdubs tool to write to the 95040.
It's a 8n0906018h ecu. I've managed to read the chip through odb and done the modifications I wanted but I'm getting stuck on writing it back. I believe the ecu is in boot mode (pin 24 grounded on power up) buy the program reporting: Starting boot_mode ... uC identification response = 0xc5 <c167 derivatives> ... OK But only gets as far as: Initialising registers ... FAIL. <error=0x01> Closing com4 Any help would be greatly appreciated Title: Re: Writing 95040 issue 8n0906018h Post by: adam- on January 11, 2016, 01:20:26 PM You know my thoughts. :)

For some reason Ray says do not use the resistor on the bam ecu. He didn't explain why though ??? Checking the data sheet would verify the correct pin peculiar to this ECU.

show me all your command line you use to write. Title: Re: Writing 95040 issue 8n0906018h Post by: monk-e on January 12, 2016, 11:02:55 AM Sorted it ;)
Turns out the ecu will only play ball in boot mode at a baudrate of 57600 |
